Max Kellerman Appreciation Thread!

I aint a big fan of max but i liked what he did. If he continued he would have continued mayweahter would only have talked about beating marquez and refuse to answer anything about other opponents.

I may be one of the few that likes Max as commentator. He knows his boxing, he's passionate about the sport, and speaks faster than Larry Merchant. Last night though, he seemed -- how shall I put it -- a bit overzealous? in controlling the mic by interrupting Floyd. But he did ask the legitimate questions that people, no doubt, want to hear Floyd answer himself. Floyd just gets too defensive when anyone probes a little into is psyche or personal life. Perhaps, he doesn't know how to handle certain questions without getting so testy. Floyd will be Floyd, I guess. But yeah, Max is doing a darn good job in there. Is there room for improvement? Sure. It may come with age and experience. His still young.

What else is there for Mayweather to talk about? We've seen him so many times duck questions......Max did the right thing. I'm not a fan of Max either but this is the 1st time he has impressed me. Floyd is a scumbag. mosley was right there looking floyd in the face. i wanted to hear floyd's excuse.

I never said he didn't ask the questions the fans want to hear answers to. I said others ask those type of questions AND let the fighters speak. Learn to read, then try again. Kellerman did let Floyd speak but he started being his usual dickhead and disrespectful self. No self respecting man will let anyone do that to them. Try once again sister.

100% Agreed! D said what i think. I doubt PB will stay in the ww and fight other ww's. He's too scared to lose that "0". He'll fight other fighters that he's pretty sure he can beat. i doubt he will risk losing the 0. I don't think he's actually scared to fight anybody...it just the 0. And props to Max..i guess he earned his wings last night. I don't pay much mind to commentators. i can formulate my own opinions, along with some input to balance things out that i just either miss or don't pick up on. Waz good man? Anywayz...Floyd has the skillz to beat anyone out there right now...I just don't know why the hell he doesn't just step up! I really think Mosley would be his toughest opponent right now.

That was the worst post fight interview ever. No one paid to hear Kellerman speak. He should have let Mayweather say what he had to say. It was his time to shine. Larry Merchant asks the questions that the fans want to hear, but he lets the fighters speak. Jim Grey would have done a better job than this. He had a stark raving mad James Toney in front of his face and was still poking the mic out to get James to talk until James smacked it out of his hand and flexed on him. Now that's called balls, and DOING YOUR JOB. Not screaming like a wuss for Jim. If Kellerman wants to make a bigger name for himself by "owning" someone, he should put on boxing gloves and fight for money. Until then, do your damn job! Kellerman asked the questions I wanted answers to. try again.
