Floyd's been hanging around with alot of wrestlers lately, he should have taken a page from their book, and worked a fake storyline.
Everyone know's about the story of the supposed tax lien on his purse. The fact that it was not infact true should not have gotten in the way of a good angle. Imagine Floyd's next few fights being billed as "Fighting For His Life". They could have played up the stories of Joe Louis & Evander Holyfield (most famously) and other boxers who were forced to stay in the game to pay enormous debts off.
Of course Floyd has his BS "Money Mayweather" image to keep up, and he could never let people think he had fallen on tough times, even if it might net him a few extra bucks, and less importantly a new fan or two.
Anyway it was just a brief thought I had.
Yes, no, maybe? :dunce:
he worked a fake storyline when he said "I'd be the most popular athelete in the USA if I was white". Race baiting to up PPV buys.
I guess he hasnt figured out that the whole "guy people love to hate" angle really doesnt work. According to him white people will be watching MMA , so what good is it doing to be baiting them anyway?
I think he thinks his whole "heel" (wrestling term) thing works because he has done big PPV buys, but he hasnt figured out his opponents are the draws not him.
