Boxing fans seem to overestimate the importance of weight once again. When will everyone learn?
When the bigger fighter beats the smaller one, it's because the bigger fighter was too big.
If the smaller fighter beats the bigger one, it's because the bigger figther was drained.
Why can't people here just accept that 5lbs or so don't make that much of a difference?! Boxing isn't freestyle wrestling!
In the old days MWs and LHWs were beating HWs on a daily basis. There were often 30-50 lbs differences on FIGHT NIGHT.
Now a fighter who MOVES UP 1-2 divisions and ADDS 3-6 pounds is too small.
This "naturally bigger" thing is getting ridiculous. When a fighter adds 6 pounds of muscles he's bigger. You guys somehow think if a lightweight moves up in weight by gaining muscles, he somehow still is a lightweight.
I think Floyd will win, but it has nothing to do with weight.
out of interest where have you come across anyone giving any indication that they will massively overrate a win should he pull it off?
Every time larry posts.
The figth is MASSIVELY weighted (No pun intended) in Mayweathers favour.
I see no result other than and massively over rated Mayweather win.

I had a dream last night that Floyd TKO'd him in the 10th after touching canvas earlier in the fight. But for some reason Roger Mayweather was wheelchair bound so maybe I shouldn't place too much stock in it.
Anyway I think Mayweather by decision. Probably close-ish but I won't be surprised if it's quite wide either
So when and IF Mayweather fights Pac, everyone better say the same thing...
"I am rooting for Marquez but I think the bigger, stronger and faster Mayweather will win". (not hatin on ya Precision)
Pac's not a WW or else he would fight Cotto at the WW limit of 147 FOR the WW belt.
Mayweather should be in the ring with BIGGER guys. Not little JMM or little man Pac. People that say Pac has proved himself at WW are very wrong. Just because he looked good vs shit fighters doesn't mean a thing. Anyone can look good fighting washed up, destroyed or never has been fighters.
Pac's true test is vs Cotto, it depends on how he looks in that fight if he is worthy of stepping in the ring with Mayweather who couldn't even make 144-145 (unless he purposely did it).
JMM and Pac are smaller guys and when Mayweather beats them people will say the same thing they will say at the end of tonight's fight. "Mayweather was too big, he had every advantage, he was too fast, he always fights the smaller guys, he hasn't proved himself as a WW, Pac/JMM never had a chance, he dodged everyone by taking the easy fight vs the smaller guy etc etc etc etc etc etc............"
never ends. If he fights the bigger guys (like EVERYONE asks for) he dodges the little guy in Pac, if he fights Pac (like everyone else is asking for) he's dodging the bigger (more of a threat) guys... It never ends. Like Mayweather says no matter what he does people hate. But that's his role and he understands it. So he says and dos stupid Sh*t because EVERYONE stops, listens, and comments on every single word as if GOD showed up and said "whats crack a lackin' my bitches"!!!!!!!!!!
Which fighter that Floyd already fought looked the most like Marquez style wise by the way? Or is it something completely new for Mayweather? It will be something completely new for Marquez either way though.
Castillo, but Castillo was more physically imposing(though weaker technically).
Anyway, I'm glad this is a public poll, so all the Fraud nuthuggers can't say "you thought MArquez would win dumbass" just because I WANT him to win.
i've been also getting a strong feeling that marquez is going to come out victorious this saturday.
whenever i get these kind of premonition like feelings, i'm usually right. it's just a feeling i have that marquez will do just enough to pull it off.
Wow, this changes everything :D

Oh I never saw that one, I voted there now though. I don't really like polls to have too many options though.
Remarkable how the votes are a lot closer on this poll though. Maybe people are changing their minds these last days...
EDIT: nevermind; it was still 36-22 when I wrote the above.
I'm rooting for Marquez but I wouldn't put my money on it.
Mayweather is younger and bigger so I think he'll win.
I'm not counting out Marquez though man 'cause although he starts slow sometimes, once he warms up in the ring he turns into a beast and Mayweather may not be able to cope with that.
