Anybody actually follow the guy? Would he school Cloud? What's his style?
He's WBC Light Heavyweight Champion now, lost to Carl Froch in Nottingham over the WBC Supermiddle Belt, but other than hearing him briefly on EPSN FNF, I don't really know much beyond what's listed on boxrec.com.
I had him losing by a single point very very close fight. He could have beaten Froch pretty clearly if he used him superior boxing skills and speed.
i had froch ahead by 2 points it was a close one though with a few swing rounds
no doubt he could have won if he relaxed and moved a bit more, too eager 2 trade and that was the only way froch was guna win
he definitly could have beaten him imo
he let the occasion/world title shot get too him i think, and it backfired

IMO Pascal is a poor man's RJJ. His reflexes aren't nearly as good as Roy's so he get tagged more, and he likes to trade and brawl, despite the fact he doesn't have much of a defense.
He's a good top 10 LHW, but I think Dawson decisions him, and Cloud stops him.
Pascal should have boxed more against Froch. He tried to please the crowd and brawl.

pascal is underrated..he is a very solid guy..but tavoris cloud would destroy him and pascal is one of my favorite fighters..i would give him more of a chance against dawson than cloud actually.
I don't know if I would go that far. If Clinton Woods can withstand Cloud's power, I think Pascal can as well.

Pascal is as good as meets theye.
Extremely fast in hands and generally in everything, good power, good chin, good legs.A good bxer that has the tendency to stop to much and trade and square up.
He had a terrible gameplan to brawl with Froach9don't know what that was about) and also got tired quickly. The weight might have been a factor.
With Diaconu he did what he should have done with Froch, box and stay on the outside, but he still made mistakes(stopping and trading, pulling back straight with his hands down).
He's a good solid top 10 guy.
He is a speed kills type of fighter and has good lateral movement in addition to deceptive power in spite of his ko%.....he needs to work on his defense and keeping his hands up.....he would UD Cloud if they fought now, but be schooled by Dawson.
Yeah i agree with that
Pascal is from my country, I really support boxer from Quebec, but I gotta tell you that Pascal's chin ain't fantastic, far from that, he's been stunned by Pittman,Norman(2 journeyman), got stunned against Diaconu too and Nievas. I dunno what happened, but he had an excellent chin when fighting Froch and it's the only fight that people saw from him lol.
Other than that, he moved up to 175 because he had absolutely no chance of having a belt at 168. He challenged Lucian Bute, but Bute is superior in almost every aspect. He was supposed to fight Miranda, both were fighting on the same card, Pascal against Pittman and Miranda against Banks. Pascal did a below-average fight and Miranda did an excellent 3rd round knockout of Banks( lot of analyst said it was KO of the year.) So I think his manager told him that he wasn't ready for Miranda at this point of his career.
The reason Pascal moved up was because he couldnt make 168 anymore his fight before Diaconu against Nievas was at 170lb. He looked ok against Pittman but then got caught when moving straight back and didnt look so good after. Since then he has improved in ever fight. I was impressed in his Froch and Diaconu fights. I dont think he would beat Dawson though.
He'd beat Jermain Taylor, put it that way. He'd knock Taylor out quicker than Froch IMO. Fantastic chin.

I think being on hostile ground combined with it being his biggest fight caused Pascal to fight a bad fight against Froch. That also made the fight hugely entertaining.
He looked much more focused in his fight with Diaconu. I also think he could beat Froch in a rematch.
He is a good overall fighter than can do a bit of everything. He can box, but loves to brawl. He also gets hit alot also, gets shaken but so far has recovered well.
I think he would hand Cloud his ass and stop him. Cloud is just too crude in there.
Well, he's up on the 25th Sep against his mandatory to defend his belt against Silvio Branco, a 43 year old... :D
Funny though that this 43 year old may actually give him some problem the first 4-5 rd's, known to be tough.

:pat:
And what does Pascal's chin have to do with how quickly he would KO JT?
