I don't understand the question. IMO, there are no similarities in style for pac-cotto and calderon-mayol. Am I missing something here? It's more plausible to say "can pac do to cotto what calderon did to mayol?". This is because I think Cotto will be pressuring Pac as what Mayol did to Calderon. I think Cotto will box Manny and not chase him around the ring. I think it will be the opposite really.

I think Cotto sparring with Ivan and his overall better boxing skills will have Manny missing alot of punches and getting countered. Only Cotto's counters punches are bombs. By no means am I saying Cotto is a better pure boxer than Ivan but I dont think Cotto will have to worry about getting hit too much if he uses his superior boxing skills. If he uses the jab consistently and works the body early and often, it will definitely help. It's going to take a couple rounds to try and learn Pac's rhythms and try to time him though.

Cotto is not a runner. Neither is Ivan. He is as pure a boxer as they come. Cotto can be a pure boxer also, he started in the amatuers and early in his professional one. All im saying is if Pac cant hurt Cotto, Cotto has the skills to give Manny a boxing lesson.
