Rocky Martinez KO Viloria.

In the semi-main event, WBO super featherweight champion Ramon ‘Rocky’ Martinez (22-0-1, 13 KOs) spectactuarly stopped Feider Viloria (22-4-1, 15 KOs) of Colombia by ninth round KO. Martinez showed a new look with his newly tightnened defense but still managed to punish Viloria with body shots throughout the bout. The end came in round nine when Martinez stopped Viloria with a barrage of punches that sent him crashing to the canvas. Only one second was left in the round but Viloria could not beat the count. “I practiced hard on my defense for this fight and I believe it showed. He didn’t want to engage me too much but in the end I was able to break him down,” stated Martinez.

sorry champ but after 5 rds it was 3-2 for viloria. he was boxing really well and staying out of the range. after rocky start pressing that's where the fight changed. rocky need more training on his boxing skills. i would not like to see someone take him to school

Yeap. He have a decent chin, but the fact is that Rocky was looking for a punch KO. I dont know i you guys notice but he was only trying 1 shot at a time, when he started throwing his usual combinations, the fight was over!!!! By the way, I dont know if his new style will really help him. He looked good fir the first 3 rounds and then, he started to get tag till he decided to start pressing the fight!!!!! I agree, he was trying to end it on one shot, dude was getting off first and moving away, not sure about the first three rds, I thought the first one was fairly even. Rocky didn't use his jab was just walking into punches, if he fights Linares or Soto the same way he gonna end up KOd. I agree with 120, changing his style is dumb at this point, some fighters can adapt to a new style, Rocky is not one of them, same shit happened in Cook fight, trying to box he almost got KD, Roman is a one track fighter, question is, how many fighters will be able to take what he throws at his best.

if being aggresive made him a champion he should stick to it. it's whats antural to him. He looked like he was trying too hard and it didnt seem natural to him. Its important to have the basics and learn some tricks to a better arsenal but he canNOT abandon his aggressive style. ALSO CHAMP, no fue asi de arrastra mano. el tipo le dio pal de veces muy bn.
