Was it after Pac KO him or was it before? Seen a lot of Hatton is overrated posts lately after he tasted the canvas. Before that, maybe 1-2 poster was saying that.
He's not overrated. Clowns own here just like to underrate victory's is all. He's a top level fighter that just happened to lose to the best at the time.
Matter of pesonal perspective. To the Hatton backers that thought he actually was going to knockout Mayweather, or Pac, then those people overated him. To the people that thought Malignaggi was going to beat him, then they underated him. In my eye's, he is very good fighter, that was a step below true elite's.
Hatton is a solid fighter. Not an ATG, not an elite fighter. A solid fighter and the fact he's lost just twice against the best fighters in the world at that time compliment that statement.
Lol, Floyd came up from 130 lbs dude, and Hatton outweighed him on FN. The ref was not one sided, he was just not letting Hatton pull his usual crap. Floyd had minimal trouble with Hatton, I watched that fight again last night and Floyd was occasionally caught or pushed back, but he had Hatton in the palm of his hand, he was landing the lead right at will, and in the last few rounds he started tagging Hatton easily with the jab. Floyd set up that knockout beautifully.
No, Floyd insisted the fight was at 147lbs even though both were natural 140 pounders. He's pulled the same sh.it on Marquez.
Floyd had heaps of trouble with Hatton, the most since Castillo. But the ref was in his pocket and allowed him to cheat all night whilst remaining on Hatton's back.
I know you're a Floyd stan so the above two paras won't sink in, but every word is truth.

his only two losses are to phenomenal fighters...
that's the bottom line.
He became over rated when people hyped him up to beat Floyd , the ones and their were many were saying he was too strong hit too hard too aggressive and he would just steamroll Floyd ,,,,,, thats when his UK hype job over stepped his actual ability .
.
Floyd made him step up a weight class, fight in his home town with a one-sided ref and still had trouble with him.
He was a good puncher with good stamina, but his defense got exposed when he fought Mayweather and Pacquiao. He would charge in and not protect himself. Still he could've beaten many good fighters with those atributes, but he had to be lucky. He also failed to use his jap distancing himself from his opponnet and preparing his right hand. With floyd he was getting careless and paid the price although i also felt floyd did alot of holding and punching which could have affected him.
when luis collazo put it on him and then he proceeded to look like shit against urango. the tszyu fight was his best performance by far but even in that fight he was leading with his face and if tszyu didnt quit he might have gotten a dec or late ko
He isnt overrated...he lost to 2 of the best fighters of this era....
Stepping up a division for 1 fight losing the other at his best weight...
His body has been used and abused to much, he isnt the same fighter he was, he cant take a punch as good....the fluctuating weight has finally gotten to him...I think he should just retire, or at least have a winnable last fight in Manchester as a goodbye
IMO... Hatton isnt over rated at all. Hes been in the ring with two of the best fighters in the world. He was knocked down and got back up to go out like a warrior. Even though he was KTFO and fell real short of victory, He didnt quit or have excuses. Its just a way for morons to try to piss on Pac's outstanding win.
