That's not true anymore. Pro boxing in China is in its infancy though.

They are now, Dino Duva just signed a deal to work with the Chinese Boxing Federation to develop China's amateur boxers into pros. We could see a lot more Chinese boxers fighting professionally in the near future.

Anyways, there have been a lot of top class Asian boxers throughout history. Just because they're small doesn't mean they can't fight.
