well threadstarter... um... i cant ever blame someone for stopping a fight (no matter if the fighter, ref, doctor, or corner) if they have reason to believe anymore punishment would result in permanent damage. You cant blame someone in cotto's position (or cotto's corner) for stopping that fight. He gave his best and in the end he tired himself out and the best he could do was trade with margarito and by the time the 11th rolled around he was just getting battered. look at his face after the fight. it was easily apparent that he couldnt have lasted much longer without risking permanent damage. he looked the worst i'd ever seen him. his head was so swollen from all the punching.
