what the ****? people are always talking about that fight like Lewis was getting his ass spanked . Vitali won one round, the second one, with clean right hands that seemed to affect Lewis. The first round could've been scored even. The other four rounds Lewis won handily with power jabs, right hands that opened up those cuts above and below the Klit's eye. The uppercuts landed in the sixth were wicked and after round three Vitali was relegated to arm punches, a ton of leaning, clenching and wrestling with the occasional right hand shot. A lotta times it seemed like the only thing holding Klithsko up was Lennox and throughout the fight Lewis was moving the bigger man backward. The only thing people can say about Klitschko is that he didn't lay down and quit but if they hadn't stopped it he would have been layed the **** out by Lewis. Funny at 5:00 into the video of the final round when the doctor comes and asks "should we stop it"; Vitali is really silent. After it is stopped and Lewis begins parading and raising his hands the Klit jumps up and starts to protest. **** outta here, if he was that adamant about continuing to the doctor it they prolly would've given him another round to fight... Lewis whipped his ass, secured his legacy and retired on top and people still sour about it...funny:boxing:
Lewis won fair and square but the topic creator is a moron and doesn't know how to score-fights. Go back to watching ufc topic creator, boxing is about who lands the most punches per land and effective aggressiveness.
I agree...But its also easier just to say TS rather then topic creator

Here's the truth:
Vitali was clearly winning the fight 4-2 on all 3 scorecards. Lewis was badly hurt and was staggering around the ring like a drunk, he barely survived the 2nd round, was getting outlanded and was hurt again later in the fight.
punches landed
Vitali 156
Lewis 102
Lewis was exhausted and worn down from the accumulation of punches, he collapsed onto his stool at the end of the 6th round, Vitali was the fresher of the two, he was a man on a mission that night and would've KO'd Lewis if the fight had continued.
All 20,000 fans at Staples Center cheered for Vitali and boo'd Lewis after the fight. Vitali was the real winner of that fight, he battered Lewis into retirement.
Lewis promised Vitali a rematch if he could beat Kirk Johnson.
Vitali destroyed Johnson in 2...The scared Lewis retired like a coward shortly after that fight.
Lewis turned down 25 million dollars for a rematch and retired like a coward because he knew Vitali would destroy him and tarnish his legacy.
Do you have a word document with all of your silly arguments, so you can copy and paste, because you're too lazy to retype them?
lewis was exhausted by the time th 4th round had started and he wasn't landing as many jabs as you say. what lewis was doing very well was picking his moments and picking his shots. lewis knew he didn't have the stamina to keep his jab going and he didn't have the legs to be as mobile as he needed to be.
so what did he do, he picked his moments and picked his shots. i think lewis quite easily landed the better quality of shots (especially the right uppercut), i think he knew if he was going to take a round it was going to be through the quality of his shots or through hurting vitali.
imo if the fight had gone on one of the two would have stopped and the fight definently wouldn't have gone into the 11th or 12th. either lewis didn't have the stamina to last that long and vitalis punches would have worn him down or lewis might have cracked his chin with a great shot.

I think Lewis being way the hell out of his prime and being 38 years old had something to do with his retirement. You're mad, you know Lewis taxed that ass. There's no changing your mind though, you think everyone is a "Klitschko Hater" and it's no use talking to you.
Vitali wanting to fight against a 39 year old man who just beat him, out of his prime and had been on the decline...who's the real coward?
lewis has always been a slow starter...probably cuz he takes naps before his bouts. i wouldnt be suprised if he wouldve KO'd klitschko in the later rounds. great fight tho :smashfrea
