Yeah from what I heard and barely saw casamayor would of won but when marquez caught him he couldn't step back and recover because his legs left him. But my point is if casamayor was beating marquez skill wise and so did juan diaz does marquez really have a chance against mayweather?
Isn't the outcome of the fight the most important part in the end though? Wasn't Taylor also beating Froch skill wise in their fight? This isn't a game where you punch in skill stats and out pops a winner.
People spend so much time and effort trying to analyze every little thing only to have their "expert analysis" be way off (except for Emanuel Steward who is always right of course :p)
As far as we know Mayweather could be very well be beating Marquez skill wise only to get knocked out late as well. Then what? Too many variables to ever count anybody out in a fight, especially at the top level.
Instead of relying on what a bunch of dorks on the forum have to say about the matter let's look at the official scorings shall we?
Judge: Glenn Feldman 97-93
Judge: Patricia Morse Jarman 95-95
Judge: Paul Smith 95-95
The one judge who didn't happen to score it even at the time of the knockout scored it for Marquez
So to those who claim Marquez was losing are stupid and wrong and even before the knockout anybody who knows how to score a fight should have had him ahead on their scorecard and perhaps Casamayor should get up from his arse and actually start fighting again rather than act like a bum
Stop moaning alot of people had it closeso its debatable but most people say casamayor was winning and besides the judges aren't always right if not for those judges today we wouldn't have such things as Pac p4p #1 we would have marquez.there a such thing as a robbery.
Yep big mistake from Casa when he tried to battle it out in the remaining few rounds when his legs weren't there anymore while Marquez was used to do that with Pacquiao. He should have sticked to the game plan, I thought he was hitting Marquez with his left from time to time and so was Marquez to him. It would have ended in a close decision imo. with either fighter could have won. Was an exciting fight nevertheless. :boxing:
Marquez was losing - Marquez made adjustments - Marquez won.
In emphatic style might i add.
How can you discredit that... Casamayor beat an undefeated Katsidis, he's not shot. He stopped two men who had never been stopped!!
I think hes shot but still good enough beat good names.
