well, adamek is a lot bigger than pavlik. yeah he is, but chad beat him already so i would like to see nard fight dawson...

Same here. The reason Jones (other than being a big pay day) wants this fight, is because he knows it would generate a lot of interest - especially with these two guys' mouths, LOL. Jones should suck it up; if that's what it takes for this fight to happen, and he wants to give the fans something to see, take the 60/40. It would be 40/40 in the end anyhow, because Jones promotes himself, and after Goldenboy gets their cut......... Dawson or Adamek still aren't household names like RJJ. antonio tarver.....the first guy to KO roy, and beat him 2 out of 3, and some ppl say all 3 times they fought. 1 fighter tarver...1 legit lightheavyweight hopkins has beat tarver...now how long ago has that been and how many catchweight fights has hopkins made since that 1 tarver win...don't forget to throw in the calzaghe loss...lol

Seriously, the Roy Jones bashing is out of hand. Sane fans know he is not the same fighter, he probably loses to Hopkins unless Bernard becomes washed up overnight, and his days as a top level fighter have been over since the Ruiz fight. The way people talk though, he is and has always been a bum that never fought anyone other than taxi drivers. The ignorance towards his skills and accomplishments is insulting.

When did I make an excuse? I've said on here several times that Roy was the better man that night. Straight up ; he had Bernard's number. But you can't sit there and say that Roy didn't have an edge in experience, even slightly. Because then you're lying. Keep it real, and keep it honest. on the real they had different styles, but were evenly matched in size, talent, etc. they were number 1 and 2 contenders for a middleweight strap, and were both on somewhat of a collision course to meet to see who was the best...jones won the fight because he was the better man...bottom line....its irrelevant if jones even had a slight edge in experience...so please don't try to make it seem like jones had twice as many pro fights as nard or some garbage ass excuse that somebody who wasn't even born or never watch a boxing match in the 90's starts repeating.... now if you want a good example of somebody being green, pop in nard vs. taylor 1 and 2. we all know how those turned out....

I'm just pointing out that both of them are stubborn here. Hopkins should've accepted the 40% 8 years ago because Roy was the star and already had a victory over him. No 2 ways about it. But now Roy is the one who needs to accept 40% to make it happen because Hopkins is more highly regarded, he's P4P#3, and he's 3-1 against Tarver, Wright, Calzaghe, and Pavlik ; elite fighters, not B and C level guys like Sheika and Lacy.

I wouldn't go that far. But on the note of Hopkins losses what you touched on earlier about his fans not accepting his losses.... Roy lost to Tarver because he didn't want his dad to get the credit.
