Hello everyone,
First... these are my two favorite fighters alone with Kelly Pavlik.
Im here to share with you guys my personal thoughts regarding the outcome of this highly inflamable exploxive mega fight.
Well, after replying Manny's and Miguel's lastest fights, I have visualized a vulnerability in Cotto's defense that few are talking about.
Watch what Miguel does every time he get hit... he has tendency to cover his face with his right hand why dropping his left hand to his waist and every time this happen, expect Manny's right hand to welcome this opening to blast Cotto's left eye, same that has developed a tendency to cut.
I expect the accumulation of punishment/cuts to force the referee or Cotto's corner to stop the fight, because 1. Cotto's too strong alone with a solid chin and wont be KO'd and 2. He is a warrior and wont quit.
Expect to see Cotto in slow motion for the first time, because as fast a he is, Manny is maybe twice faster. Also is true that Cotto has deal with the speed hands of like Mosley, Judah and Malignaggi but as I said only hand speed but none of them has the body and feet movement that Manny possesses. The man is just too quick for this weight classes plus the man has a style that no boxer new just until they meet him.
Manny is a quick south paw with power in both hands and and his punch faking style alone with his speed catch off guard the ultimate reflexes in the sport and yes he can be defeated but it would take a guy like Mayweather or an extremely bigger man with a proper skill set.
Prediction: Manny's TKO victory by late stopage due to cuts.
shut up.
i never said cotto was shit.
i said he was good but nothing special.
nothing wrong with that.
my favorite fighter tua was also good but nothing special.
cotto's resume is good nothing more , nothing less.
it's not as good as you guys think.
So when he beats Pac will you say his resume is that good or just that he was too big for Pac.

Cotto is greater than Pac, Floyd and Shane combined
you've never seen an old fighter win a fight past his prime before?
old fighters can sometimes have a good fight.
a way past prime mosley beat a guy who KTFO cotto and made him look like a bitch.
shane was past his prime way before he fought cotto or marg. deal with it.
cotto doesn't even belong in the same ring as a prime mosley.
Now all of the sudden after you became a pachugger Cotto is shit and hasn't fought anybody.
Mosley has had a lot of good nights as an old shot fighter, the only fight in which he didn't look all that good but still won was Mayorga. And are you talking about the Cotto doesn't belong in the ring with the same prime Mosley who was getting schooled by Wilfredo Rivera and got a lucky KO.
You should know better than to try and use Plasterito as an arguing point
Lately you been a real asshole and are saying stupid shit. While I don't think Pac's going to win I respect him as fighter and don't diminish or disrespect any of the work he's done.
I hope you can deal with the fact that you'll look like a retard on Nov. 15 with all this shit your talking.
remember when we had marcus allen AND bo jackson in the same backfield?
we were suppose to have 6 super bowls already!
:crying:
Colts greatness , bitch.
That Cotto has vulnerablilities is saying the obvious. But he has one factor that is a great equalizer for somebody with his boxing skill and that is strength. He will be- without a doubt- the bigger, harder punching person that night. Pacquiao has great physical attributes, and he hits very hard, for somebody at the lower weight classes. But he does not have the same heavy-handed punching power that Cotto has at welterweight. That "oh shit that hurt" power. That "put you on your ass with a jab" power. Pacquiao's is more like "damn you just hit me with four clean shots before I could get my guard up" type of deal.
If Cotto is unable to touch Pacquiao all night, then it will be a very long night for Cotto. But chances are he will connect, and since Pacquiao is no Winky Wright or Joshua Clottey with respect to defense, chances are Cotto will land cleanly. The question then becomes, how will Pacquiao change his game plan if Cotto is able to connect cleanly and with authority on some exchanges. What will happen when some of the dance is taking out of those feet when Cotto hits him solid to the body only to come back and snap his head to the side with a right or left cross.
The alleged Pacquiao game plan is to jump in, do damage, and jump out. This may have worked with De La hoya, but Cotto has much more umph in his spirit. Many of those dives in will be contested, and Pacquiao will get hit. Pacquiao has excellent head and feet movement and will probably run circles around Cotto, but Cotto will not be deterred by a few left- right combinations accompanied by a bobbing head. He will most likely not have to put a damper on his offense for fear that he's going to get hit with something he can't handle. I feel, though, that Pacqiao might.
Paquiao winning the fight is a reasonable prediction. I can think of many ways that Pacquiao can out box Cotto enough for the win. I still have trouble envisioning a legitimate KO of Cotto, but anything is possible. Pacquiao dominating Cotto as if he were some amateur boxer, though, is not a reasonable prediction. Cotto's history has shown that he will try to put it on him, and will go down in flames if need be to do it (think Margarito fight). The fight will probably start slow, pick up tremendous speed, and then slow down again. Cotto might get tired and Pacquiao will have to consider how many more hard shots he wants to absorb to be able to attack Cotto. What happens after that is anybody's guess.
So when Cotto beat Mosley he was washed up, now all of the sudden he's great once again and according to huggers or Cotto haters he's now the WW king. People here are dumb and stupid they flip flop on fighters every single day and love to jump on hypewagons. On Nov 14 Cotto is going to expose all you dumb hypewagon riders as the fools you really are.
I for one always thought that Clottey was a good if not great fighter. Mosley just showed us that he is still in his prime...against Marg. Zab even though he was winless is a good fighter (has fast hands and power...no heart though). Marg...no comment!
I know you are good peepz and none of us will give in since we already have our minds set...so let's leave it at that. We both have our opinions on Cotto.
clottey is a good fighter, hes got a great chin and decent power nothing more
shane had the style to beat margo. if i follow your argument that shane is still prime coming from a great performance, then its safe to say that roy jones is still prime coming from a great win against lacy. what do you think?
judah came to lose against cotto. he was barely throwing punches and he was able to hurt cotto in rd1. he had some activity in rd1, and rd7, thats it. he was there to get whooped
did i say he was a bum?
i said he just ain't that good.
he's good but not that good.
he's overrated. he has one of those resumes that look good on paper but really ain't.
when did he fight shane? when everyone thought shane was washed up and when shane barely went back down to 147.
when did he fight zab? when zab was winless in his last 3 fights.
clottey isn't even anything special. he's just a good fighter and cotto was lucky to win it.
marg? is a good fighter but nothing special as well and he ktfo cotto.
cotto is good but nothing special.
the fact that a featherweight has a chance to beat him says a lot.

if cotto doesn't stop or hurt pac to the body by the 6th, cotto will gas and get beat up.
Thats how I see it, if Cotto doesn't take him out by the 6th, Pacquiao will be all over him by then.
