Did you ever try arguing with someone who knows nothing about boxing?

last night was talking to my cousin who claims to be a boxing fan. When discussing pacquiao, he brought up how manny has ducked black fighters and I ask him to name one....and he said Joseph "king kong" agbecko. Even went on to say manny was scared after what he saw in the darchinyan fight. LOL.

sweet science This one guy was at my house and said "calling boxing the 'sweet science' was 'dumb'" he didn't know anything about boxing and thought it was two idiots throwing wild. I said "your just ignorant" He got really mad and said "i was in la la land" meaning crazy or something. I thought being personal or whatever was really low and I wanted to punch him out.

I think it is even more frustrating arguing with someone who is a fan of only one fighter, so he thinks he knows everything about boxing. There was this one guy at school that I got into it with about the Mayweather-Marquez fight. Every time I made a point about how Mayweather will have the advantage, he would just make some racial remark about Floyd. Kept saying how I could support Floyd since I am Mexican. WTF does race have to do with it? I am a fan of both fighters. Those are the worst type of people to argue with. Don't know shit about boxing in general, they are just a fan of one fighter so they think they know everything.

It's f*cking frustrating. I was talking to my friend, and he told me that boxing isn't a sport. He said that all they do is give these two guys gloves and have them try to beat each other up. He also said that it took no skill. I was pretty pissed. I just left, and didn't even bother arguing. I wasn't gonna waste my time. His argument was rooted in complete ignorance. its like arguing with pactards 90% dont know shit but they saw the oscar and hatton fight and think hes the messiah
