Since i am 8 years old, that means in 1997. Barkley-Toney and Frazier-Ali made me really love the sport. After that Tyson, DeLaHoya, RJJ was superman, young Mayweather was said to be the next best thing, Trinidad, B-Hop, Mosley,etc...til this day. I watch MMA since 2004/2005.
13-14 years.
From day 1 when I when I started watching fights and reading magazines and books on the sport I was hooked and been following pretty religiously since then.
did you know your named after a racist 60s folk singer
My nickname has nothing to do with that singer though. I'm half British and half American (my mothers from the South) and when you call a Southerner a "Yankee" as many Brits tend too call all Americans, it's insulting.
On an off for over 20. '88 I belive. I can't remember if it was Tyson vs. Holmes or Tyson vs. Spinks that my dad ordered and hyped me for. He never really ordered many PPV's. I guess that's why a lot of ESPN fights come to mind especially Mickey Ward and David Tua. :lol1: During the 90's I mostly caught only legends (Duran JCC, Holyfield, RJJ, De La Hoya, etc.). I haven't really gotten into early prospects till recently.
For two and a half years.
In my country boxing has no coverage at all...i mean before i started to get interest in boxing, i only knew tyson de la hoya ali leonard and holyfield.
Didnt even know who mosley or hopkins or mayweather was , lolz.
It's amazing how little people know about boxing here in Chile...but lately there has been like a little boom on doing boxing for fitness here. At least it creates more interest in the sport here, even if it is only a little.
I'm 27, and I was born in '81 and i remember always being interested in boxing. I remember growing up watching USA Tuesday Night Fights and then watching the fights on HBO. So pretty much as long as I can remember. It's always been my favorite sport. I'm white and like they say in the Naked Gun, never bet on the white guy!
since Hagler-Hearns.......that was the VERY first fight I'd seen on TV......I was hooked after that!!!.......but basketball won me over until B.Hop became Philly's first MW champ ever!!!......I started to follow his career closely and became hooked AGAIN after he took Tito to school!! :boxing:
