1 loss and your "damaged goods" WTF is wrong with people?

Is someone here(who i will not name) is trying to say that pacquiao would beat clottey or margarito? Heck, why not paul williams or hopkins while you are at it. Clottey/margarito would put down pacquiao in less than 5 rds. If marquez can rock pacquiao and morales can rearrange pacman's face in first fight imagine what margarito/clottey can do.

last i checked...it was all about how you come back from that loss...in cotto's case...he's just a shell of what he was...sorry... Shell? He fought CLOTTEY with 1 bad cut and lasted 12rds. Clottey is better than ANY opponent cotto has faced except maybe mosley. Let's see judah, malinaggi, pacquiao, cintron, etc, etc last 12 rds with clottey. He is not fighting easier fights, he is fighting more difficult fighters so he is not going to be like he was before.

it's a harsh sport...it's pretty funny seeing people call Cotto a shot fighter, even after he beats an elite fighter like Clottey...I don't get it Not only has Miguel Cotto been in battles with top fighters like Clottey & Mosley, but he was punish by Plaster from fighting Margarito. He was receiving almost two punches in one. Now he has a cut around his eyebrow that opens up easily. I don't recall much fighters that been battered and been through many wars without losing. Cotto won most of the fights, but do you really think he can hold a pounding again for twelve rounds without giving in? I don't think his body can withstand the same punishment and still end a fight. Bottom line is I don't think he's the same fighter he was before I can't see him having much success as he gets older compared to fighters like Mosley etc. just because he's been in to many battles where he's been hurt. Hurt, which is the key word here.

But he is far from shot that some people think. I agree that he didn't hurt clottey when he knocked him down but it was a good stiff jab that had good timing because of clottey's feet position. Cotto's performance against clottley wasn't his best, but seriously saying he is shot is laughable. if the internet was around back in the day people would've been saying that Ali was finished after Fraizer, Duran was done after he quit against SRL or KO'd by Hearns, Lennox would never come back after getting KTFO (well the net was around for that one lol), ect...... I think Gatti's fight against Gomez is an example of a shot fighter. By that stage Gatti had nothing left in him. He was hurt and caught by punches that in previous fights would not have bothered him.

clottey beat cotto...i know that clottey didn't do enough to get a win in the atmosphere he was in...but it was clear that if clottey put in a little more work...he could have taken cotto out...it took way too long for him to adjust after that cut...clottey just didn't capitalize enough...jennings is a ****ing joke...i'm not speaking on him...but to me...clottey exposed cotto...he was supposed to impose his will...he was damn near fearless...clottey went in for shots and cotto almost jumped out the ring at one point...he's not the same fighter...not going to say ruined...that wouldn't be fair...but changed...yes...i don't think he'll ever be the same unless he fights margo again... oh and pac by ko...and as far as mayweather/cotto...i don't even wanna see that massacre...
