is chris john better than manny pacquiao?

I think their styles are very different but both Pacquiao and John had characteristics to give Marquez trouble. Pacquiao is relentless, stronger, and faster than Marquez, plus his southpaw guard and high volume of punches is all wrong for a counterpuncher, which is what Marquez is. Marquez was able to do well against Pacquiao once he used timing and the fight was fought at a slower pace. If it was all rapid fire, Pacquiao always had the upper hand. Chris John has very good skills, he is more of a classic boxer compared to Pacquiao. I don't know much about the boxing methods in Indonesia, but John definitely shows skills not typical of Asian fighters. I love South Korean boxers because they are kamikaze warriors, but rarely do they show P4P skills. Chris John has that and a boxer like that faces a guy like Marquez and it becomes a chess match between smart, technical fighters. He also has what it takes to give Marquez problems but in a totally different way than Pacquiao. So, one fight is a war, the other a technical match but both are tough matches. Head to head, Pacquiao beats Chris John decisively though.

Chris John is a great boxer/boxing Technician,but as much as I'm a fan of his,I dont see him beating Manny Pacquiao. Though I do think he's one of the best Featherweights in the world

John can't even be put in the same sentence of comparison with Pacquiao. Such an insult. John is medicore fighter. Has some skills, but nothing outstanding. If you struggle against the passive Juarez, that says something.

No,John is not better than Pacquiao. But I will tell you what he is somewhat underapreciated and has good skills. But Idid thought he lost to Marquez altough it was close.2 bogues point deductions didn't make it a highway robbery.

Come on man dude barely got into boxing. But no man John is a good fighter but not better then manny. Some fighters give certain fighters style problems. But his win had to do alot with a hometown decision. Just keep watching fights and you will understand. Great fighters have lost to shitty fighters but it doesn't mean that fighter is actually better then him,or had a better career. Example rahman ko'd lewis. i just recently got into boxing when i started to watch chris john fights on youtube because alot of friends and family watch him fight. so i have not really seen any live fights, i was going to watch chris johns fight on hbo in june but it got canceled. i have been watching alot of past fights on youtube from many fighters. i know that manny paquiao from the philippines is the best figter in the world right now next to floyd mayweather and juan manuel marquez. i check alot of records from boxrec.com to keep me udpated on who has done what. chris johns best win came when he beat juan manuel marquez and i see that manny pacquiao also beat him, but then i checked the judges scores and chris john beat him by UD when pacquiao beat him by SD. also, chris beat a younger juan manuel marquez by much wider scores. so what do you guys think of chris john? my whole family is going get together to watch his fight on sept 19. its called a hometown decision

JMM beat John but he got robbed and it was a dumb managing decision from Juans people to go fight him over there for chump change. If you what's the fight there is no doubt juan won that fight.
