I was in NY for the weekend Cotto fought Clottey, and there were tickets available 30 mins before that fight. Pacquiao is carrying these ticket sales. Your point? Would it be different if Cotto were carrying the ticket sales over Pacquiao? That's what I think is hilarious about Floyd fans. They can not for the life of them give any credit to Cotto for anything ever. Sure a cute little comment about how he's a good boxer here or there. But they will never put Cotto over Floyd in regards to anything. Even in terms of being fearless and having the heart to fight anyone. They'll some how make it sound as if Floyd has never ducked a soul in his life. Which we all know is so far from the truth light doesn't even hit it. Then when Mayweather returns, instead of claiming his crown in a big comeback he goes onto fight JMM, who lost to Pacquiao. Truthfully, though I'm pulling for Cotto to win, Pacquiao's the type of fighter people want to see. There's no excuses about money or what draw the other guy is. Mayweather is getting paid regardless of how many pay per view buys the fight sells. He will pocket more than cotto and pacman. I'm sure floyd really doesn't care about how many buys the fight has, he's already broken records in the department. He cares about his money and that's what he's all about. Mayweather may be a compelling figure, but he's not all that fun to watch. When was that last exciting Mayweather fight? If you weren't pulling for Gatti or Hatton, then those weren't exciting and everything else in recent memory has been like watching sparring... DLH-May may be the highest selling PPV of all time but it also may be least satisfying PPV purchase that casual fans have ever dropped money for too. Why so much crap about this? One fight has two pressure fighters who have been KO'd before, the other has two pure slick boxers who have never been KO'd. It's OBVIOUS the fight with the no-defense-having brawlers will attract more casual fan interest than the one with the cautious and slick technicians.
