Well Roy Jones has been on the comeback trail for quite some time now. He's fought the likes of Anthony Hanshaw, Prince Badi Ajamu, Felix Trinidad, Omar Sheika, and now Jeff Lacy for his comeback/tuneups. Which one of these fighters put up the best effort against roy, and present the greatest challenge for him?
So I guess a prime RJJ didn't fight Calzaghe while coming back from the Tarver loss. Including only wins when he lost just last year to an old Calzaghe is a biased list.
The tarver fight and calzaghe fight were 3 years apart. After his losses to tarver and Johnson, He came back in july of 2006 to fight Prince Badi ajamu, fought in 2007 against Anthony Hanshaw, then in January of 2008 he fought Felix Trinidad. He fights Joe C in november of 08, loses and makes a comeback against sheika and lacy. None of these fighters had a chance to win(thats why they're called tuneups),they just provided a litmus as to how much Roy had left. Stupid biased asses like you are why this forum is in the shape it is today.
No offense to Roy (or his fans) but none of those guys were ever any challenge to even a past prime Jones.
Trinidad may have been had he not been years retired, fat, old, and completely out of shape.
Whats with Tito anyway, is he retired or not? He says he won't fight anywhere below 166. What kinda shit is that? I know for sure he can get down to at least 158. He isn't very muscular and it's not like he's really tall neither.
Your list is biased and I punked you out
you punked me? How is my list biased? I asked about his comeback/tuneup opponents. A comeback/tuneup fight really isn't supposed to be against an elite fighter. Learn to read and interpret.

How can you make a list of so called comeback opponents for RJJ and not include the old Calzaghe that dominated the prime comebacking Roy. Post Tarver fights should include all opponents not just the guys he beat.
See I knew your hatin ass was gonna come in here with some shit like that. All you do is hate on american fighters. Can you just give the man a break? I said comebacks/tuneups for ****'s sake. damn man get your own thread. I mean you could've at least voted or contributed something inciteful to this thread but no.
Well I thought points wise Hanshaw did the best but as a challenge I was afraid when he went on the ropes and let Sheika land on him.
yeah i remember scoring the hanshaw fight 117-110 or somethin like that. I believe Hanshaw gave him the most trouble. I wasn't worried about sheika at all, the guy was rusty as hell and looked incredibly flabby at the weigh in and even more so on fight night.
