he was hitting lacy with shots that would have knocked lacy out years ago.
roy jones used to throw left hooks that would flatten opponents. know there is nothing behind the shots

So you've seen Lacy get knocked out? Only way this conversation holds any weight. You can't say someone would of got knocked out years early if they never have.
if this was the roy jones from the sugar boy malinga fight or the Clinton woods fight he would have knocked lacy out before 6 he had serious power.
same goes for J.C if it was roy jones that fought woods,Virgil Hill,or malinga
joe would not have been able to use he work rate he was really fast back then and as soon as he hurt joe he would step it up.

lacy has a good chin and roy is 40. but roy could hav stopped him earlier but is seems he was more intrested in speed and combinations. he had lacy hurt 2 or 3 times though

He was just toying with Lacy. Roy had Lacy hurt a few times. Had Lacy tried to box instead of leaning on Roy's chest all night, it would have been a different story. Although Lacy had moved up in weight, he had never been stopped. I believe Jones could have knocked out Lacy had he really truly wanted too. Roy was not too interested in the knock out, he was more interested in ring time and showboating. IMO.
they say the last thing to go on a fighter is his punch. imo rjj's punch is still there but he never really had a massive punch anyways.
when rjj was in his prime the majority of his KO's came from his speed, from punches that the other guy never even saw coming. the thing is that his speed has now diminshed and because of that we dont seeso many KD's or KO's. also the legs are one of the ways that power is generated and rjj doesn't really plant his feet and throw and since the weight loss his legs haven't looked the same.

Seen as Lacy had never been knocked-out and can take teriffic punishment id say no. Remember years ago Roy was knocking out tomato cans, Roy never knocked out elite fighters even a dead at the weight Toney or a Hopkins so green he lost to a bum.
Dude you don't know what the hell your talking about. This is just why I hate haters. They just augment the truth. There full of BS. Hopkins lost the first fight of his career, @ 190 Then he lost 30 pounds and won 25 or so straight fights, lost to Roy, then won 20 or so more straight then lost ot Jermaine. He only lost cause he was fighting to heavy. And he lost to Roy because Roy was better than he could ever dream of being. His power was strong enough to keep a heavy weight off of him. And put Virgil Hill out with a body shot. Then 1st round KO againt Montel, who beat Toney twice. Thats what it is player. Your a Bum.
Jones has always been a speed + awkward angles + snap type of puncher, once he lost some his speed he lost some of his snap. His legs aren't as fresh either which contributes to some of his loss of power.
