British people are the biggest pussies, and some of them have been brainwashed into thinking having guns to protect your family is a bad thing.
Chasing armed street robbers does not make you hard it makes you stupid......
Having guns is a bad thing........thats why your murder rates are x10 of those in the uk......But carry on killing each other if ya like.......
don't see nothing wrong with that. :lol1:

do you know in the u.s is legal to carry a register gun and if shoot someone defending yourself than its ok jerk study the law and then comeback till then stfu
And that is one of the reasons US society is fundamentally flawed. It scares me to think that so many millions of people still worship the right to bear arms, even after all that has happened.
Vernon pulled a gun on street robbers and ran after them looking for a gun fight...
...turns out he lost the gun fight.......he should have been more man but he had to go all thug....
......
Why is there only 135 on the bar?
That just shows what you know.
It had nothing to do with his car whatsoever.
And it had nothing to do with the money, either. Vernon willingly gave up the cash he had on him.
It was the Championship ring that set him off.
You try dedicating yourself to something as incredibly demanding as boxing for the majority of your life, only to have some punk walk up and take what is basically the embodiment of all that hard work and sacrifice, and tell me how you'd feel.
He was overflown with emotion.
Anybody who's ever been in an actual face-to-face, heated situation (and not an internet argument) knows what it's like to lose yourself in the emotion.
Sometimes you make a rash decision.
Vernon made one.
He paid for it with his life.
Isn't that enough?
Do you guys really have nothing better to do than sit here and downgrade him for that?
I see your point Brings
bit really it was a ring bro
They would have made him another one right quick
That was the trigger though
Tooo bad
I stand by that 100%
what was he doing with a gun on his person?
what would he have done if he caught up with the robber.....probably shot him.
Hey, lets all shoot anyone who does wrong to us.......great idea.
forrest had a right to defend himself. he don't have bodyguards like floyd.
Nobody is disputing that
But if he used that noggin of his, he'd be alive
We're only human ; we're prone to make mistakes.
Vernon got caught up in the emotion and made a fatal one.
I don't see what anybody gets out of calling him a "punk", and talking about how "stupid" he was for making a mistake.
I'm out of this thread ; I've said my peace.
Vernon Forrest was 10 times the man that any of the people who are trying to shit on him in here ever will be.
That just shows what you know.
It had nothing to do with his car whatsoever.

He lost his life for a ring dude. A material possession, something that could be replaced. That is the point

Lets not lose sight of what you first said.
Watch ur wording. It was all in the means of protection.

i agree with this 100%
I don't give a shit where he was ; as long as you're a successful individual who's got something that the next man don't ; you're always a target.
There's scummy lowdown pricks willing to take a life for a dollar in all Cities and Towns all across the globe.
Nobody is disputing that
But if he used that noggin of his, he'd be alive
That is what law enforcement is for. He had a pre-teen child with him that looked up to him as a father. The man thing to do would have been to do the right thing and turn the other cheek and call the cops.
Walking strapped doesn't make you a man, it makes you a punk. I have a gun permit and I own several weapons. They are stored safely in my house in my panic room for use during extreme duress. I would never walk around loaded because I'm with my kids normally.
The situation just made Vernon look petty. He valued his car over the life of that kid and his own.
That just shows what you know.

and basically the thugs the try to rob him are okay in your eyes
No they aren't okay, eventually the life they lead will always 360 on them.
However it wasn't Vernon's place to put their misdeeds in his hands. Vengeance is a dangerous road to be on and Vernon got the wrong end of the deal.
And what did that get him? Him dead, fatherless children and a family deep in sorrow.
I don't give a shit where he was ; as long as you're a successful individual who's got something that the next man don't ; you're always a target.

you got the right im successful i got people i grew up with that look at me funny but once in awhile i just want to go back to the old neighborhood and just kick it...now because i have a good job and doing good for myself i cant go back to my old neighborhood thats bull
There you go. Great post
Your head is screwed on.......you may live to see old age...and unlikeley you will go to prison for murder...like vernon would have has he caught and shot those guys..
Vernon a punk
Your missing the point like i sed b4 he probably always had the gun on him, he did not go out that night being a gangster trying to initiate something, he had extremely valuable things taken from him that night you act like he was out gangbangin.
Dude took his 4 time Champion ring.
Something he broke his back and gave blood, sweat, and tears for for the last 16 years. He dedicated his life to get earn that damn ring.
What the hell would you do?
Me..well i woulda been glad they didn't shoot me or my son and i woulda got the hell outa there....defo would not have chased three strapped black guys down the rd....
If your in an area that requires a handgun to be safe
Well then that says all you really need to know about the situation. Oh well...
I don't give a shit where he was ; as long as you're a successful individual who's got something that the next man don't ; you're always a target.

law enforcement where i grew up they dont come till your dead so i dont know bout all of that
register gun=legal
In this situation, the issue would have been dealt with differently since they drove off. They returned because he came back and chased them guns blazing.
A smarter man would have been alive today.
I'm all for allowing those having guns and keeping the legal. Doesn't mean you shouldn't be smart about them. It just leaves someone acting stupid dead.
What you change your opinion cos i'm not a yank! now i'm wrong cos i'm not a american..and i'm the ignorant one...ok
Yanks are killing each other in record numbers cos of your idiotic gun laws....and i'm the ignorant one...ok
Take the guns of the streets and vernon would still be alive......... but you'all excercise your rights to shoot the hell outa each other
Vernon is just another stat of gun crime in the US...thats all...
A stat thats what ur calling a man who accomplished so much and gave so much back....ur ignorant dude.:spank:
LOL@ Anybody asking what he was doing with a gun in the first place.
Gee, I don't know ; Maybe he felt he needed it because he was a successful Athlete who lived in a City largely inhabited by people more than willing to step over your grave to take whatever you've got?
Exactly.
