Pacquiao should have fought Marquez a third time instead of Cotto.

Pacquiao is waiting for him to be shot, and even then he will make the fight at 147. Pac knows he was very very lucky to get a draw the first fight and win the second fight. He won't risk it again with a live JMM..

I can see JMM and Manny going at it again for the third time by next year, or at least before Manny retires. It will happen, i'm almost sure of it.

Personally I would love to see a 3rd fight. I like both guys, and their styles match nicely for a real battle. And i bet the winner of a 3rd fight would by now win pretty convincingly, as both fighters have evolved....'specially Pac, haven't kept track of JMM though. I'm still peaved that showtime and hbo don't show as many fights as they used to. but they are showing fights from '07 and '08 to make up for it...lol. I think they are starting to show some more though. Watching boxing on a big screen is 1/2 the reason i bought a hi def tv..dam! :popcorn:

That was because Arm was having none of the negotiations before that so JMM moved on. the thread says why fight cotto instead of jmm specificially. the cotto fight was only made recently, since the hatton fight. in that time, jmm was already pegged to fight pbf. there was no way that pac could've made a fight w/ jmm within that time becuase jmm was already slated to fight the TS clearly didn't not think the Title of the thread thoroughly. the thread is a fail.

That was a fight where the majority had Juan manuel Marquez winning. It was razor close and could have gone either way. Also since then Marquez has been chasing Pacquiao in each of his division, and systematically taking out all of the best in the respective divisions. I believe Marquez deserves this fight more than everybody. Cotto could have waited this is a fight boxing fans wanted to see. Count me in the minorty. Pac beat Marquez both times.

Most respected boxing experts had JMM winning. I am a huge fan of both, and I had JMM winning as well. it was split down the middle w/ press row at that fight. i have the list if you want it. ppl here who would post only a list of who had jmm winning is cherrypicking and just wanted to whine. those in the opposite doesnt feel the need to.
