Ricky Hatton deserves another shot at Mayweather, simple reason because when I was watching the fight again the other day I noticed the Floyd was cheating all the way through and never got picked up by the referee. If this was a fair fight from the off I believe it could of been something different. Floyds back now and Hatton needs another fight to make him feel better, if Hatton was to fight on then I believe he would need to re-work his whole camp, and give Graham one last shot at being in his corner!

Come on mate, you can't be serious with this post, surely? I was a big Ricky Hatton fan and was desperate for him to shut Mayweather up, but deep down I knew that he had little chance of winning the fight, as long as Mayweather didnt take him lightly, because Flloyd is 10 times the fighter of Ricky. They could have 5 rematches, and Hatton would lose every single one because, although he has been involved in some exciting fights, he is very one dimentional and his style makes him easy pickings for someone like Mayweather.
He doesnt keep his gloves up, has very little head movement, just goes charging in and tries to bully his opponents. At the highest level, you simply cannot get away with this. It's all very well saying he needs to just re-work his camp, but its not as simple as that. Hatton is too old to change his style now, he is what he is. As we saw against Pacquiao, you can try and teach an old dog new tricks, but in the heat of the battle, a fighter will just revert to type and fight on instinct. Ricky is a brawler, not a boxer. If he tried to outbox Mayweather, he would be destroyed even more emphatically.
What upset Hatton is that Mayweather played him at his own game, and destroyed him in the process. He roughed him up and didnt get caught throughout the entire fight (with the exception on that one jab in the first round that caught him off balance). Hatton wanted to bully Floyd on the inside, but he wasnt able to do it and was actually bullied himself.
Dont get me wrong, Ricky has been in some really exciting fights, but against the very best he is out of his depth. He is predictable, and no matter who he gets to train him, it wont change a thing. A re-match with Mayweather is pointless because Floyd is a class above Ricky, sadly.
f*ck hatton. even if he hadnt fought Pac after May beat the brakes of him the first time. the 2nd fight would have been even more brutal.
Cotto, Pac, SSM and especially hatton. wont beat May.
comeback to reality fool

Hattons carrer is done but he can still win decent fights.
is the thread starter forgetting that the hitman just got blasted in 2 rounds? hatton will never get another shot at mayweather in a million years. and its probably best that hatton retires.
i think you're clutching at straw a litte OP. PBF did something that i didn;t think would happen - he schooled RH; kills me to say it, but he did. We need to move on from a PBF v RH rematch. Only chance that was going to happen was if he beat Manny, and we all know what happened there.
Hatton really needs to think about hanging his gloves up.
If PBF beats JMM - which won't be that easy, then he needs to fight the winner of Cotto v Manny, again, tough to call.
As for the guy who said Manny ain't P4P number 1 in his eyes, I'm glad it's not down to your to draw the list up.
There is no way Mayweather would destroy Cotto! I could see Mayweather beating down on Pacquiao I agree with that but i was going by what has happened with the P4P number one thats all!
I think Cotto would have a fight on his hand with Mayweather but i seriously can't see Mayweather winning that one!
Pacquiao not beat him either and then after that we will see what happens with Cotto, Mayweather but I can tell you now that Mayweather would not destroy Cotto!
Whatever you say and no it wasn't Mayweather Sr. fault its a fact that they didn't get on but i aint blaming him, i'd blame Hatton for not respecting Pac! And now your calling Pacquiao over rated he's number 1 p4p and will keep it before Mayweather gets it back!
The deciding factor of this argument would be Mayweather Pacquiao but saying that, that depends on several factors including May's fight and Pacquiao, but i would like to see Mayweather Cotto!
And now your saying because of that fight that he would kill Hatton in a fight, I don't think it would be like that it was a good fight with Mayweather cheating thats all I saw really but if you say so! I still believe you put them both in the same ring again you will get another good fight out of it with another winner this time, Hatton just wasn't ready for Floyd at that time! Give him chance to sort out his camp like I said then we'll see who will be calling who!
If that is what you think I'll let you think that but no matter what anyone says Floyd cheated and he knows that he did, if Hatton had the chance sorted himself and his camp out there wouldn't even be a discussion about this because he would of been better against Mayweather! I like Mayweather he is a good fighter but if given the I think that Hatton would take the fight and show you haters and none believers what he really is made of!
Which is why I'm saying if Floyd loses it might be back on the cards if Floyd doesn't retire, it would be good to see it again! And what is it with people and boxers dying today that's two now! One on Hatton and another on JMM! Floyd isn't as strong as he is made out to be, it's his speed that catches fighters off guard!
Well at the moment Hatton has health problems and says he isn't even thinking about fighting. I would of loved to have seen Ricky have another shot at Floyd, it should of been made for the back end of 2008 though- while Floyd was in his "retirement". If Hatton had beaten Pacquiao, it would of been unavoidable
I aint saying that he isn't but what would Floyd be without his unbeaten record now! He already left the sport but for what reason we don't know, if Floyd loses to JMM (Which I can't see happening) then there would be a big shout for a Hatton Mayweather re-match, and i wouldn't say damaged just a bit of a push back!
