Who's stamina was worse ........Chris Eubank's or Jermain Taylor's ?
Taylor has a decent chin where as Eubank had an iron!! chin which is prolly why Eubank still won fights that he was dog tired in.
Again all muderously hard fights, he was almost certainly weight drained against Calzaghe, Thompson was a cruiser who Eubank put up a pretty good show against considering the size difference. Watson 1 i'd have to watch again, according to memory Watson should have got the verdict but the specific fight has blurred into 1 and 2!
They were hard fights because those fighters knew that Eubank's stamina was not the best and they could expose it making him work.
He liked to fight at his own pace and he was effective if you let him, its not a coincidence that he lost to most of those guys or had a dubious decision against one of them.
Fair play. I dont think he had poor stamina problem per say, but he did get tired in his fights and i think that was due to lack of conditioning and small stamina issue. I thought it would be a bit provocative to match him with Taylor though :boxing:
Always worth throwing these names up to spark a good debate Taylor was a good one just think Eubank was a reach IMO
Calzaghe, Thompson, Watson 1 ??

Got to admit I usually turn off the sound watching boxing so wouldn't have caught those comments.
Eubank was economical and only did enough i'll admit that but I never saw any stamina problems.
De La Hoya seemed to fade against Trinidad and Moseley quite badly to me.

Watch any 10 Eubank fights and you will hear question marks about his stamina, wonder why this is?
:nonono::nonono:

jermain taylor because of above reason
You have picked out a fight there that was an unrelenting war to question a fighters stamina. Frazier looked a little tired towards the end of the fight at Manilla but it doesn't mean he had a stamina problem.
Calzaghe, Thompson, Watson 1 ??
Even though had had a tendency to fight with his mouth wide open and stumble around the ring Watson 2 ?
DLH has never been in that shape NEVER!!

Eubank's is not a name I would normally think as a fighter with poor stamina like Jermain Taylor. Shavers or Oscar DLH come more to mind to be honest.

Who gives a shit? You're an idiot. I've already explained why he wouldn't be expected to have excellent stamina.
Seriously, this is a terrible thread. Awful. The worst I've ever read, more boring that watching 'How to dry paint' hosted by Andre Berto, more tedious than a 36 round Iggy Wlad Trilogy, more banal than a Haye post by Tunney, more sleep inducing than a.... well you get the point.
Im an idiot ?
More tedious than some retard who has an obsession with making up glass jaw chronicles.
You are a fool!! because you cant distinguish between simple observations.
Whether he was heavly muscled or not, does that translate to him having superb stamina because he was heavily muscled ? err no. Superb stamina translate to........................does not get tired regardless.
Calzaghe, Thompson 1, Watson 1+2.
Eubank only didn't get tired when he was allowed to work at his own pace, but when Watson exposed the fact that Eubank did not like working at someone else pace, that game plan was used by Watson in the second fight and by Calzagho who jumped on him from the off.
The only fights Eubank did not get tired in are the ones where he was allowed to work at his OWN pace, but!! the fights where the opponent forced the pace and made him fight at their pace, he got tired.
Who cares whether they were start or finish, its not like he was in his 30"s or anything.
He got tired in fights throughout his career, i always thought it was because of his poor conditioning myself, but i dont know how anyone can say he had excellent stamina. I watched most of his fight live on ITV and one thing i would never say about Eubank is that he had excellent stamina.

Dude, Calzaghe and Thompson were right at the end of his career.
This thread is just irritating. Eubank always came in INCREDIBLE condition to his fights... he was a very well muscled guy and feeding those muscles for 12 rounds is a tough deal.
Taylor does for sure have some stamina problems but that's for him to sort out...
