Well everyone knows that when manny throws (especially combinations)his he gets off balance and I think that Cotto will be able to take advantage and counter the shit out of pac. Manny is not the best boxing technition, whether you want to agree or not and Cotto is much better in that aspect of the game, so i believe cotto can capitalize off mannies mistakes(being off balance and not working behind the jab as often). Pac advantage will be looking to hit with vicious uppercuts underneath the earmuffs of cotto, which is one of cottos great weakness. Love um both so dont bash my opinion, your thoughts???
Yup he could. But the recovery of pac from an off-balance shot is fast. I can recall only JMM being able to time him. The rest, well...
Nways, Cotto is not without bad habits. Take a look at his fight with Malignaggi.

You can see that when he bend to throw a shot, he would often leave his head open. It's a good thing Paulie is not a puncher. He would often do this when pressuring his opponents. IMO, pac could get a shot in and move away before Cotto could even land a punch.
If you think getting hit is a bad habit then every boxer ever has that habit.
Its gonna be interesting to see how they game plan each other. I have a feeling you'll see a lot of movement from Manny along with a lead straight-left/right hook combination. The one thing I Manny has to be aware of is a counter left hook to the body or head. Cotto straight is effective but its not his best punch.

Who cares if he gets caught...Cotto aint no killer!!!!
who cares if he gets caught? what did the very durable clottey say about cotto's punching power? You twat lol
Don't take anything this idiot has to say seriously, he just loves to hate on Cotto.
Manny and Roach think they can do to Cotto the same things they did to DLH. Manny will try to keep Cotto in the middle of the ring and come in and out. It won't work for him Cotto has great timing and will catch him coming in or going out. Cotto is going to work behind the jab, make Manny fight going backwards and get him on the ropes.
You're a dimwit, how come you always get offended when somebody voice their opinions against your beloved Cotto?
Read this moron...
Pacquiao is treating Cotto as a tune-up fight and that's the truth.
Yea....
its a great possibility that could happen and he gets dazed or even dropped!!!Pacman throws wild punches @ times with his head down and is liable to get caught with a counterpunch!!!

Thats what im saying!!!
Cotto is no fukking Marquez. He isn't a boxer nor a skilled counterpuncher. Pacquiao will light his eyebrow plucking ass up.

Cotto will be the one cmming forward while Pacquiao using all angles with his footwork.
Cotto will look like an idiot and a coward fighting backwards against a smaller fighter like Manny lol.... only big fighters back up cotto. I love your post....lol...People make out pacquiao to be invincible. Can you see my Avatar?? That was done by morales, who has less power than cotto.....lol
Finally someone sees it. I notice that Manny is a very fast fighter and throws alot of punches at once. I also notice that when he throws 10 punches at once, that maybe 3-4 connect and the other 6-7 are very wild. His opponents have have followed up on that mistake and we know Cotto is very good at following up on mistakes like that. With Miguel being more powerful than the opponents that do not take advantage of Pacman's wild punches, this maybe the the one fight that Pacquiao gets caught bad with that wildness.
I also notice that pacman opponents do not followup when they hurt pacman, marquez made that mistake in last fight when he rocked pacman. Miguel does not make that mistake, he might get hit more than other fighters but miguel knows how to finish you off after hurting you. Should be an interesting fight.:boxing:
His balance has gotten better, he's not as wreckless anymore and he'll be a lot more careful once Cotto catches him. Balance or no balance, Cotto gonna make him fight and corner him.
In order to catch Pac off balance is to land a sweet punch in between his combos &
it will take a good or great counterpuncher like JMM to timed Pac in between his combinations
if you watched Pac-JMM 2 you will see that JMM kept his distance 1 step back away from Pac so that he can counter every time Pac lunges forward to throw combos
And as i read in some threads, Cotto maintains at a forward stance fighting direction thus making it difficult for him to counter Pac with his fast handspeed
good post bro :cool2:

He only get off balance when he unload that left straight in full leverage not combos. So goodluck to cotto if he knows to himself that he can time pacquiao's punches, he got tenths of a second to react.

maybe, yeah it's a liability more than an advantage. but take note that cotto's not a good slugger, as posts above says, he's no jmm.
Are you refering that JMM is a slugger? Cotto can bang better then JMM in the pocket and can box pretty well like JMM(maybe not as good but solid)
