How Can You Seriously Think Floyd-JMM Will Be Boring?

2 days ago I rewatched JMM vs Jandaeng and its just sick how good JMM is. His Offensive skillset is at an ATG level. He reminds me a little of Ortiz because they are like the only 2 boxers right now who fight with a forward body lean. Its like there body is always in the forward position so it makes them strike the targert much quicker then the normal fighter. Thats how JMM makes up for his supposed lack of speed. I say that because I dont think he's that slow anyways. Like Ortiz though, when you fight with that style it also is easier for you to get hit because youre almost face 1st and it hurts because its like youre running into the punch. JMM must have a good chin since he hasnt been stopped with that style. One thing that stood out to me in that fight was how it was a FW but Jandaeng was pushing JMM back and stalking him but JMM eventually countered him to death. That stood out to me because thats what I keep trying to tell everyone about the JMM-Diaz fight. Just because Diaz pushed JMM back, doesnt mean that JMM cant move up in weight. Its just there style of fighting. Diaz has that bully style and JMM was going to let him do it because he could easily counter. If you saw JMM fight with Jandaeng then you would think that JMM wouldnt beat any top fighter at LW because he was getting pushed back at FW but the truth is that its just the style. I compared it to Floyd vs Jesus Chavez. Chavez always had that bully style and could push cats back including Floyd but Floyd didnt care because he knew he could counter him. You saw Floyd eventually carve Chavez up and stop him. You also saw JMM do the same to Diaz. It has nothing to do with him not being able to move up. I could see if he was fighting another bully guy in Margarito or Cotto but Floyd isnt going to do that to him and no one at 140 could do that to him because none of them fight with that style except for maybe Hatton. In the JMM-Jandaeng fight he carved him up. JMM is always a beast on O in every fight. People call him a counter puncher but he's a different kind of counter puncher. He rarley goes backwards. He just stands toe to toe and counters. He rarely follows you but he never runs. I think this is how he will come out against Floyd. The #1 comment that upsets me the most on here is people talking about how boring Floyd is and how he's going to move and never go toe to toe. Its like everyone on here just started watching boxing. he hardly ever moves from guys who are anywhere near his size. No way he's going to run from JMM or Pac. Its not happening and if you think so then you are crazy. He's going toe to toe at the least and most likely he will walk them down. The only way Floyd doesnt go at JMM in this fight is if he's worried about his rust or if he's just trying to carry JMM to make it look good. I also honestly beleive that no righty can hit a "prime" Mayweather clean. It just doesnt happend so I know he wont move from JMM. I 100% beleive that you are going to see the best 2 techniqal fighers that we have seen in a long time, meet in the very center of the ring, and just go toe to toe. It may not be in a Hagler-Hearns brawling type way but thats how they will fight. It will be a highly skilled chess match in the center of the ring "but with alot of action". JMM always lets his hands go, espically if your going to be in front of him and Floyd is not going to run from someone his own size. Its not going to happened. I think half of the fight will be like that and the other half will be Floyd walking JMM down. Either way its going to be alot of action for no matter how long it last. Go watch Floyd vs N'Dou, Gatti, Bruseles, Zab, Mitchell, and nearly all his fights at 130. He's very Offensive. He's had like a handful of fights where he hasnt been and they all were against huge guys. The Hatton fight was 50/50 but thats only because Hatton was an idiot who was just smothering Floyd all night like a clown. He smothered him so much that he didnt even leave enough room to land his own shots. If you miss this fight then you will be sorry because these are the 2 most skillful guys out there by a mile and they both will come with the mindset to be Offensive and take it to the other guy and its not phony. Thats just how they fight. Thats how JMM always fights and thats how Floyd fights against guys his own size

Because Floyd wont want to look bad and Jmm's counterpunching can do that.

I dont see a huge difference in their height. It's only 1 inch. However Floyd has the reach advantage. I cant see the point people make that JMM is too small for Floyd.

Didnt read all that bull shit. Didnt need to. This is simple Mayweather doesnt like to engage at all and JMM is a natural Counter puncher, plus JMM is too small Thread/ again man, you act like you just started watching Floyd since the Baldy fight. I honestly think some of you are new and really did just start watching boxing at that time because there is no way that so many people can talk about Floyd that way unless they just started watching. He has been an Offensive fighter in a ton of his fights before Baldy. Its just that those guys have been huge against him since then. The JMM counter puncher thing is so overrated and I talk about that in the thread. He's a counter puncher but he's not a normal counter puncher. He's not Spinks or Sweet Pea. He never runs at all. He counters but he does it while standing in front of you. He is never going backwards unless he is fighting a straight bully and then you have to go backwards because its easier to counter that way. Floyd will stand in front of JMM and JMM will do the same

It doesn't matter what marquez does mayweather somehow makes fights boring.. Baldomir and Oscar we're moving forward all night long trying to engage but floyd just doesn't take risks now, too cautios, one shot at a time.. Although he may trade a little more this time since marquez is alot smaller. who knows.. Thats what I talked about in the thread. Its like people just started watching Floyd since the Baldy fight. He came into the ring at 147 against Baldy and 148 against Oscar while Baldy came in at 162 and Oscar at 165. Thats why he fought that way. Go watch his fights before Baldy. He has been an Offensive guy in alot of his fights. He just didnt want to engage with these huge WW's or SWW's because he himself never put on weight but if he fights anyone close to his own size then he is alot more aggressive. Its not that JMM is smaller. Its that he doesnt outweigh him by 15-18 pounds

i wouldn't say it owuld be boring, but the outcome is pretty much set. Marquez is awesome, but he is wayyy too small to be fighting that high mayweather may have soft hands but he can easily overpower marquez with his speed and size.

Marquez already said, if Mayweather doesn't make it a fight, I will. agree 100% against fighters his size or smaller he engages but when faced against bigger fighters he boxes. Also no way jmm will let it be boring this time in his career

thats y pbf chose this fight. he is well aware of the perception of his style so he will choose the opponents he can be more offensive minded against. wat i dnt get is the haters saying he runs, but in the same comment states how he avoids guys he cant easily beat(bigger guys). its a no win and now a days greatness is determined by how well u brawl. i think jmm gets battered in order to plz the fans.

Mayweather doesn't engage much against larger opponents. Best believe he will engage against JMM. Marquez already said, if Mayweather doesn't make it a fight, I will.
