A lot of ignorant people on here keep calling Nate a quitter because they believe he could have continued because the cut wasn't that big. Again, it was not the cut that caused Nate to bow out of the fight.
For the uninformed...
Vitreous hemorrhage
Vitreous hemorrhage, or bleed, results in a sudden change in vision as it blocks light moving through the vitreous to the retina. This hemorrhage specifically occurs in front of the retina in the posterior section of the eye.
The vitreous hemorrhage may be the result of an aneurysm of a blood vessel in the eye, trauma to the eye, a retinal tear, a retinal detachment, a new blood vessel (neovascularization) or as a result of another underlying disease state.
Symptoms
Someone experiencing a vitreous hemorrhage may experience one or more of the following symptoms:
• sudden onset of blurry vision
• light flashes
• floaters (spots seemingly floating across the field of vision)
• blindness

So seriously guys, get educated before you make assumptions and challenge a mans heart.
This is correct.
He quit. It isn't necessarily a bad thing, but he still quit 100%. That point cannot be argued. If people want to attach negative connotations to the word "quit" regardless of the circumstances then that is up to them.
You make a very good point. To say a man is a quitter because he chose to quit is ignorant. He quit, but with very good reason. That by no means, makes Nate a quitter.
hell no i have broke my hand before and i couldn't imagine punching someone with it while its broken. I am simply amazed when a boxer continues to throw punches with a broken hand or get hit with a broken jaw.
One thing about fighting on with a broken hand, or a torn bicep muscle (Clottey vs Judah) is that there is no real danger of things getting any worse. A bone or muscle will heal, but loss of vision can be permanent. Big difference.
i'm not trying to label nate's whole career as a quitter. i'm just saying he quit in that particular fight in the most respectable way because i would have quit myself. pbf, gatti, abraham, collins all had injuries in the ring and they stayed til the very end. compared to them, nate is a quitter (no offense).

how about if a boxer breaks his hand or jaw during the fight and he quits. would you guys call that boxer a quitter?

have you ever fought professionally or even in the amateurs?
thank you...
You should know some people here can't be reasoned with, nate can't see because of a headbutt and he's a quitter but all hail plasterito who wants to walk into the ring with casts which is probably the most cowardly thing you can do. Point is they are either legitimately stupid or just acting that way to get to you, either way you are not gonna change their minds.
this is true. ive watched campbell for a long time and hes fought through adversity before, he isnt just going to quit for no reason..i knew something was wrong with him when he was panicing like he was
