Victor Ortiz had surgery Wednesday to repair a ruptured tendon in his right wrist and will be out at least two months.
Ortiz suffered the injury in his knockout loss to Marcos Maidana on June 27 in Los Angeles, according to his manager, Rolando Arellano.
The junior welterweight fighter, who lives in Oxnard, Calif., was stopped by Maidana in the sixth round of an entertaining brawl.
Cant train for 2 months???:sad2: I have been waiting everyday, looking for updates on his next fight.
Maybe this had something to do with Ortiz packing it in. We gave Israel Vasquez the benefit of the doubt. Ortiz fought a stupid fight though. He may have fought that way because of this injury though. We will never know.
