Does Cotto have the right to call Hatton overrated?

hell yea he does....i new from he beggining hatton was garbage...who has he beaten conviingly other than (paulie malignaggi?)....

He could thank the PBF hype machine for this. PBF hyped Ricky to justify his penchant for cherrypicking. Now Ricky believes that he belongs in there with PBF, Manny and JMM, the top three fighters today. I heard he wants to go 0-3 by fighting JMM. Enough already.

A lot of people I know thinks Cotto is overrated. I try to tell him that he is a good fighter. They tell me that he fights A level comp way different than he does everyone else. I said he beat Mosley and they tell me that Shane had an off night. Same people tell me that if that's a prime Cotto against Shane and Shane is competing well. Imagine what a prime Shane would do to Cotto.

The both have signature big wins. Hatton beat an aging tszyu and cotto an even older mosley. both beat quick fighters in malignaggi and judah. hatton also has castillo and cotto got quintana. cotto didnt look dominating against a bigger clottey, neither did hatton against a bigger collazo. both have a string of wins against B level fighters though cotto may have an edge for the simple reason hatton fought mainly in the UK and his opponents weren't well known than cotto's (cant fault him for that). cotto took a knee in one of his biggest fights against tony while hatton got ktfo by the former p4p fighter floyd. hatton got ktfo by pacquiao, but cotto hasn't fought him yet. i give cotto an edge in resume and skills, but i dont think he trumps hatton too much to call him overrated. what have people on an internet board done to deserve the right to call hatton overrated? cotto has more right than all of us.

Casamayor is world class even at 37. Hatton was never even close to world class. At least Hatton finished Malignaggi That fight was stopped by Paulie's corner when he could've continued. Cotto broke Malignaggi's cheekbone and they allowed that shit to go on. Hatton was both overhyped and overrated. Even in defeat, Cotto won't look as bad as Ricky did against PBF or Pacquiao.
