Gatti, Forrest, and the HOF

I personally wouldn't have either in the HOF. No disrespect to these fallen warriors, just my opinion.

HOF isn't always based on skills alone. Hence, the word "Fame"...Gatti got that in his 3 fights with Mickey ward and is regarded as one of the best Trilogies in Boxing history. Gatti will be there.

Gatti just like everybody else had a prime. Hes a little better then most people think. His fighting style and multiple FOYs took a lot out of him. A prime Gatti doest lose his last few fights. Hes a lock for HOF. Forrest should be too.

I'd definetely say yes for Gatti.But I might be a bit bias. Don't know about Forrest.Not really tbh.

ppl who say forrest shouldnt be inducted should really take a look at the fighters who are there already. hes better skillwise and accomplishment wise than ALOT of them, hes a shoe in. and i said so before he died aswell. This is true but there are also a lot of fighters in the HOF that should not be in there IMO.

Both fighters will become eligible for the boxing HOF immediately. Forrest had the better career as far as accomplishments, while Gatti was clearly in the more memorable fights. Should they be in the HOF? Forrest can make a better case for it. He was the better talent with better accomplishments. But his resume is lacking outside of the Mosley wins. And I thought he got a gift decision against Ike Quartey. Both will probably get in though regardless of what I think.

panda can see an argument for forrest mosley wuz like p4p #1 or #2 when forrest steamrolled him

neither. no disrespect. I agree. Gatti lost to too many journeymen and without Mosley the opponens on Forrest's record look weak. Now that they are deceased both will make it however.

skill wise, gatti doesnt qualify in the hof. i cant decide on vernon..

forrest is a shoe in. gatti isnt really, but my guess is he will get inducted due to popular demand.
