Balzsay beat Inkin. Andrade and Bika have beat several fringe contenders and fougt top contenders. I really don't see Green as deserving a spot anywhere before any of these guys. That's until he proves me wrong and fights someone and beats him. Andrade and Bika have fought the best at Super Middle .. i.e. Calzaghe, Kessler and Bute, but respectively came up short your still right about Green, he has to get in their and prove himself. hey, at least prospect ward beat miranda and ko'ed rubin williams, unlike allan "feet fetish" green.......hes younger and undefeated too..... dirrell trashed hanshaw, who is not a bad fighter......better than anyone green has beat in fact............ abraham, again trashed miranda at smw.... :rofl: kessler, he dominated half the top in 05-06-07...(beyer, lucas, siaca, mundine, andrade) Froch, Taylor and Pascal, better than anyone Green's beat Taylor, seconds away of beating Froch, beat top 10 rated Lacy, strong resume at 160. all more deserving than green....kinda sad, as green is a career 168lb and is already 29.......... okay so what about Abe trashing Miranda .. Miranda only moved up to 168 after getting destroyed at Middle by Pavlik .. all Edison has since proved is he's mid level. If Abe and Ward want to prove themselves the best at 168, shouldn't they beat Miranda? why the silly emoticon? been over Froch, Pascal doesn't fight at 168 any longer but that win + the Taylor are solid and so what about Taylor almost beating Froch, as close as he was, no cigar. Jermain lost that fight, so all you can say is he almost beat Froch ... should it count as a * since Taylor almost won? even with a strong resume at Middle, all Taylor's really done at Super Middle is lose to Pavlik (the 166 rematch) beat Lacy and lose to Froch. not terribly impressive and Green himself did make a comment regarding how Taylor is almost being rewarded by being in the Super Middle tourney despite getting knocked out his last fight .. and I absolutely see truth to that. but yeah at 29 Green really needs to kick it into gear before his career goes to waste. he looked good on the Froch/Taylor under card, hopefully he can try and stay relevant.

I need to watch more Kessler fights, I've kind of forgotten about him. I can't make the man favourite, but jesus, this is quite a step-up from the shit Kessler has been knocking out too, that Haussler bloke was pure Tocker Pudwill. From the Kessler fans, when has the big man looked great, he looked awesome against Andrade, but any others I should have a look at? I'm rooting for Froch personally, but it would be quite impressive if one of the young Americans won the whole thing with such little experience. Can't see it, however.

I guess we could say Lacy was in the lower half but outside of Kessler, Bute, Froch and Andrade .. I don't see Super Middle as a terribly deep division .. and how many of the top Super Middle's have beaten top 10 fighters? but after this Super Six tourney, I think a lot more will be resolved. (if you go by The Ring's top 10 at 168) right now three fighters .. Kessler, Froch and Bute have the only wins over "top 10" opposition with victories over Andrade, Taylor and Bika, respectively I don't think Andre Ward and Andre Dirrell have fought too close to the top at 168 .. with Ward's best win coming over a Mid Level Miranda .. who himself got wiped out by Abe. so sure Green hasn't beaten top 10 opposition at 168, but you could say the same regarding the above 2 fighters and Abraham as well. so taking that into consideration, if you'll agree .. not many Super Middle's can say they've beaten top 10 opposition, of course that's one ranking system (the Ring's) and it wouldn't be too terribly hard for Green to make an impression. I've only watched him a couple times so far and was not very impressed, he has some good fundamentals and above average speed for his size, i think getting Kessler initially will be very tough especially for a young guy like him, i don't care if the fight is in his hometown, he's getting probably the best SMW in the world.

well yeah Green should do more in the ring then out, if you get what I mean. not to shit talk, but the criticism of having not fought top 10 opposition doesn't fall just on Green. hell outside I said it already but outside of Kessler, Froch and Bute. no other Elite SMW have beaten top 10 fighters

Taylor was th eMW champ so he gets a freebie in some sort of way.He did beat Lacy who was a fringe contender o sort. I agree that Ward and Dirrell are highly unproven,Ward having a win over decentish fringe contender Miranda and Dirrell not much of unless you count Hanshaw who was a fringe contender himself(but that win is somewhat controversial). I agree Green could make an impression but he really hasn't done anything but talk. He backed out of fights with Pavlik,Bute and Ward apparently and hasn't really beaten no one.Not even a fringe contedner.Maybe Codrington but that's iffy.

I went to see him fight Miranda in Oakland and he made the whole crowd nervous. Kessler is a lot better than Miranda and I could see Kessler hurting Ward and stopping him. IMO Ward is not at the level of Kessler

Honestly, Bute is the only one people can have a gripe about, then again I don't know how willing Bute was to enter this tourney. Bute-Andrade II is a good fight anyway. Plus, these guys need someone to fight after the tourney is over anyway. They all are in front of Green IMO. Which is one of the main reason I think Kessler will stop him. Though another reason is I think Mikkel is just better than him.

Please you would rather him face Froch and Abraham or Taylor?? AA will do better going up in weight. Froch managed to KO a Taylor who was pretty much the best he could be for 7-8 rounds.. Ward ain't gonna do shit same with Dirrel in this tournament.. **well Ward fighting home aside, I don't see how he has the easiest Draw with going up against Kessler, Taylor and Dirrell. Out of those 3, I like Ward's chances best vs Taylor. regardless Ward and Dirrell might just be in over their heads for the Tourney, certainly a possibility as for Abraham, it's not a fact that he'll do better going up, we'll just have to see when he fights Taylor (but I'd favor Abe in the fight) but im pretty sure he was having trouble making Middle, so being less weight drained should help him quite a bit. regardless of how many rounds Taylor was good for, a title fight is 12. Yes Taylor was good while he lasted, but it didn't mean much in the grand scheme of things (as he lost.)

I am very surprised Alan Green was overlooked for Dirrell...unless it was just easier to get Dirrell...or the unbeaten record of Dirrell "looked" better, being that Miranda beat Green and Ward beat Miranda Bute or Andrade or Bika not being there is more surprising. Green has yet to beat a top 10 SMW.
