sorry Eddie Croft (former top featherweight contender, kickboxing champion) I actually met and wrote a story on Eddie Croft. He went to my junior college years ago. He's a great guy. He's still training fighters out of San Carlos/San Mateo area. Nice to see that someone remembers him. He fought some hall of famers in his day - Marco Antonio Barrera and Erik Morales.

Pat Valentino (San Francisco - fought Ezzard Charles for the Heavyweight title in 1949. He lost by 8th round KO. Also drew twice with former light heavyweight Champ Joey Maxim.) Notable losses have come to John David Jackson, Terry Norris, Hector Camacho, Joe Calzagh, Vinny Paz and Librado Andrade. James J. Corbett (San Francisco - Knocked out John L. Sullivan in the 21st round to claim the Heavywieght title in 1892. Was later knocked out by Bob Fitzsimmons for the crown in 1897.
