Pacquiao and his team's plan are too WEIGHT DRAIN fighters so that their weak and tired and beat them. Has anybody else caught on too that?
Pacquaio is a good fighter don't get me wrong, but do you actually think a de la hoya that's not weight drained would beat Pacquiao? Ricky Hatton just like ever other fighter can no longer make 140, its no good for your body when you blow up to 190 drinking beers then have to get down to 139 for a fight.
Ricky Hatton was also weight drained in his fight with Pacquaio, its just like Cotto when he use to get rocked all the time at 140, he was drained and weak, Torres could never drop cotto 3 times at 147.
My point being and you can mark my words, THE FIRST TIME PACQUAIO FIGHTS A LIVE GUY WHO'S NOT WEIGHT DRAINED HE LOSES...if he fights cotto at 142 he may win because cotto will be drained. Pacquaio's luck is about to run out and he knows it thats why he wants to retire soon.
When did he do that?!!! A year ago he was fighting at the featherweight limit, and at that time we were all thinking that this former flyweight has just reached his limit and no way will he be thinking of moving up in weight some more, specially after he witnessed two failed attempts by Morales himself at going up just 1 division higher. Now that Manny is doing the unthinkable and doing it impressibly, you are all hating at the man for stepping up, fighting at an uncomfort zone, fighting the big boys. And now you bitching out that the pacman is cheating on his opponents, why don't you look the other way and see if manny is getting favorable advantages form his recent fight deals..
Manny fought Hatton at 140lbs, a weight ricky was undefeated in for the longest time and was considered the king and lineal champion by everyone.
Manny fought Oscar at 147lbs, 3 divisions jump from his comfort weight of 130lbs. A former Middleweight fighting a former Featherweight, the only problem is Oscar miscalculated his diet, he should have been 155-160lbs at fight time but Manny came in prepared either way.
And now Cotto at 145lbs, Cotto was 146lbs in his last fight with Clottey, and there was some bitching before that it shouldn't be a title fight at 145lbs coz it would be really unfair to cotto, well guess what.. IT IS NOT A TITLE FIGHT!! you all haters happy now?!!! Manny gave in to cottos every request just to make the fight and cotto is the BIGGER MAN on this fight...
Kinda rubs you the wrong way doesnt it...
Good post. I'm pretty sure 145 is comfortable for both Pacquiao and Cotto.
another epic fail thread in the making :lol1:
Agreed. It suddenly becomes a trend as soon as they hear from somebody else that a fighter is weight drained, not the same fighter after a loss or too old. People then just start going by what they heard and not by what they're seeing. Yes, De La Hoya looked weak as **** in the fight wit Pacquiao but Hatton weight drained? After he just finished f-in' up Paulie? Even though he lost in 2 rounds against Pac, he showed the ability to fight hard in those two rounds.
Valid point though, they actually do weight drain people and aren't the least bit shy about it. Seeking out unfair advantages publicly is pretty questionable for anyone IMO. Like if Kobe said he will only play Gilbert Arenas one on one if Gilbert wasn't allowed to eat for three days and had to jog 5 miles at full speed before they began there game to ten, while kobe was rested and ready to play.

Yep.
Either that or he has to take over his PR, because between Roach, that Gacal douchebag and Arum, its pretty hard to like the guy right now.
Yeah Gacal is an asshole, thorn in Pac's corner

last time cotto fought was at 146, so if he drops to 145 he is immediately weight drained and is now a useless fighter?

Your just a ****ing hater my man, the last time hatton fought at a weight higher than 140lbs, he lost by KO and he and his team blamed it all on the weight and that it made him to sluggish and everything. So when they announced that the fight with the pacman will be for his 140lbs title, we all jump in and came into a belief that ricky will be better and will perform at his best weight, a weight that he himself said is undefeated in, and is the king and lineal champion for the longest time. NOW YOU TELLING ME HIS WEIGHT DRAINED AT HIS BEST WEIGHT!!! WHAT KIND OF AN EXCUSE IS THIS ONE, A ****ING MORONIC EXCUSE IF YOU'LL GONNA ASK ME...
And with the DLH fight, pacman was a last minute replacement for hatton, Oscar asked Ricky first for the fight and ricky turned it down, PBF a WW fighter for a long time came in at around 150lbs for their 155lbs fight with DLH, PBF is 5'8" tall while DLH is 5'10.5" taller. And Manny who just fought his first lightweight match just recently has to go up 2 division more just to meet up with Oscar, it was a big risk by Manny for he was not really planning of fighting oscar at that moment he was just a replacement for ricky and that's why he was grossly miscalculated by Oscar. So your argument of Pacman intentionaly trying to weight drain his opponent, is so ****ing lame dude, Manny is just trying to get the best possible fight available, you just have to appreciate the courage in this man...
Yeah just like Winky Wright with Hopkins and Oscar with Hopkins.............They made their opponents fight at a catchweight. We all know the fighter who goes down in weight loses.
Um Hopkins went down vs. Oscar but won. Your post is shot. Self ownage sig worthy right there ;)
Pac's career started at 106 through to 147. If you dont appreciate is move up in weight and the success he had in doing so, then dont watch boxing. His resume is phenomenal. Tough fight after tough fight and comes to fight. Even better outside the ring. You haters must be teenagers with fukked up hormones. Any man with a 1/2 decent brain and a fan of boxing can appreciate what he's done.

dumb and retarded post, probably the worst ive seen in this forum, and that's saying alot.
Kobe and gilbert dont fight each other, and they dont have weight stipulations for basketball. If that were the case, gilbert would still be able to rehydrate and replenish, just like in boxing. But you conveniently left that out. Cotto/ODLH arent given 3 days to cut weight, more like at least 4 months. Cotto is only going 2lbs below the weight while Manny is moving up 5. Comparing weight stipulations to boxing and basketball is probably one of the worst comparisons you can argue. I can keep going but now I'm just fed up. I still cant believe this comparison was made.
If PACQUAIO beats HATTON..I retire from the forum

Pacquaio beat a weight drained de la hoya, now all the PACQIAO fanatics think he's the greatest fighter ever, with his limited skills. If Pacquaio wins i'll stop coming to the forum.
PS: Pacquaio has way too many loses to be P4P so cut that shi.t out!

If pappi stops giving him a wet and slurrpy french kisses probably he won't get drained.
