Just a quick question.
How many truly good World Champions have the limeys produced throughout history? Is Lennox Lewis the only one?
Also, how many Undisputed World Champions have the British produced over the last twenty years? It's not more than the continent of Africa, is it?
Thanks.
Britain is a tiny island no where near the size of Illinois.
it is pathetic in size and worthless.
not even worth talking about.
they don't even have an army these days.
That is just your opinion, but how many Undisputed World Champions have they had since Joe Calzaghe, huh?
well david haye was recognized as the undisputed CW champ unitl he moved up in weight
And a little note on Nigel Benn, one of the names you say you never heard of.... he was pushing to fight Roy Jones JNR for a long time, he wanted that fight so bad he even offered to fight in pensicola and let let Roy keeo the full Purse for the fight............................................................ Jones still wouldnt take it.....do i hear DUCKS?
I think Hamed could of been if he had regrouped after the MAB loss, he had the talent to imo. KT is considered elite and i dont see what was so great about his reign to be considered an elite fighter, he never beat an elite fighter imo.
Lewis was obviously elite and i guess you could say Calzaghe was fringe elite, not on the level of a Jones, Mayweather, Hopkins(prime) but slightly below that, comparable to a Winky, DLH etc, on that kinda level.
very true, many couldn't even tell you who De La Hoya is, but they'll know Chris Eubank.
Fact is, the American public know the good US fighters and the British public know the good British fighters.
Where the difference lies however is that many of the ignorant fat yanks who don't know of the British world champions will automatically assume they're crap and will throw their toys out of the pram when they find out this isn't the case, whereas British people have more manners than that.
oh yeah, more manners...is that why they boo the american national anthem?
how many undisputed champions in any divison from any country have there been since Joe Calzaghe?
many.
and most of them were Black. not asian, not mestizo, not white and not biracial

Britain has got a great history in Boxing considering it size and the fact that the sport is not even very popular in Britain compared to other sports.

Brits SUCK at boxing.
lol. What a truly ludicrous and utterly unfounded comment.
I love America, but how many American-born men hold heavyweight world title belts right now?
Pakistanis don't make anywhere near 10% if the population and the reason why it's big over hear is because England is the birthplace of cricket.
Last time I was in England I was in a place called Bradford, and it seemed like 10% to me, but obviously I'm not good with numbers!
Sorry.
When I was last in the UK I noticed that Pakistani people seemed to make up about 10% of the UK population so I'm not surprised that cricket is rather big over there BUT it is not true that you have had (and currently have) more champions of the world than most nations.

If you only have 1 title holder then that is more than most nations.
Britain is just a tiny island in western Europe, no where near as big in land mass as the state of Texas. However, it is true that we have more World Champions than most countries, which is quite impressive when you consider that boxing is sadly no longer big in the UK.
Most of my fellow Brits who I am acquainted with prefer cricket over every sport in the world, albeit most of them are of Pakistani origin.
