Close fights often result in controversial decisions. Which one among the list below do you think is closest to the truth and why?
1. Mayweather v Castillo I
2. Dela Hoya v Mayweather
3. Pacquiao v Marquez II
4. Cotto v Clottey
Poll coming up.
1) Pac-Marquez II - as mentioned in another thread, I had Marquez by a point but the Split Decision justified the fight to a tee and I had no problem with Pacquiao being declared the winner
2) Cotto-Clottey - I had Miguel winning by a point. The fight was much closer than the 116-111 card offered, but 115-112 Cotto and 114-113 Clottey were fine.
3) Mayweather-Castillo I - I personally had the fight a draw (113-113), but with a gun to my head, I'd say Mayweather deserved the win by a hair. The greater issue wasn't so much his winning (although plenty argue it should've went the other way), as the ridiculously wide margins of victory on all three cards.
4) Mayweather-DLH - There is just no way in hell this was a split decision. Terrible fight, even worse PPV as a whole, but the pathetic scoring trumped it all.
