The big show is tomorrow. How many of you will be watching? How will the PPV numbers do? Do any of you think it will do well enough to compete with Boxing's Top Ten in terms of PPV sales?
The top ten biggest pay-per-view draws in boxing history
No. 1. De La Hoya vs Mayweather - 2.4 million PPV buys
No. 2. Holyfield vs Tyson (rematch) - 1.99 million PPV buys
No. 3. Lewis vs Tyson - 1.97 million PPV buys
No. 4. Holyfield vs Tyson (first match) - 1.59 million PPV buys
No. 5. Tyson vs McNeeley - 1.55 million PPV buys
No. 6. (tie) De La Hoya vs Trinidad - 1.4 million PPV buys
No. 7. (tie) Foreman vs Holyfield - 1.4 million PPV buys
No. 8. Tyson vs Bruno - 1.37 million PPV buys
No. 9. (tie) Pacquiao vs De La Hoya – 1.25 million PPV buys
No. 10. (tie) Tyson vs Ruddock (rematch) - 1.25 million PPV buys
So UFC 100 did 1.5 million buys. That means it comes in right under the boxing top 5. And the UFC card could have been better IMO, especially for it being UFC 100. I see Dana White putting together more "stacked" cards in the near future and perhaps doing better numbers very soon.
If Dana White does not let Sexyama come out to "Time to Say Goodbye," I will never be buying another UFC PPV.
QFT.
10 points says he's coming out to "Higher Ground".
Dana doesn't appreciate psych warfare.
All good fighters, but GSP is the only one who sells PPVs. Once the rest of america gets a taste of Sexyama it will be different, but now it's only GSP.
GSP and Sexyama need a Walk Off. Sexyama definitely would be the favorite though. GSP would have a long hard grueling work out ahead of him.
If Sexyama busts out the casual wear...it's f'n over.
or GSP
or Fitch
or Bisping
or Alves
or Henderson
or Thiago
or Sexyama.

Its a great card, I'm definitely getting it. I'm a fan of both and don't understand the rivalry between fan of both sports. Competition is good people, we all benefit when promoters fight for our money.
Sure whatever you say, you and about 3 other dudes believe that. Like I said before if it wasn't for Lesnar this would get less than half of the buys that it's going to get.
LOL you forget who the other guys are.
Agreed. UFC unfortunately is starting to take over and I'm a die hard boxing fan and always will be. I won't buy a UFC Pay Per View but I watch some fights occassionally such as GSP or A. Silva but overall I'm not much of a fan but unfortunately this is what younger kids are starting to watch not boxing. I don't know many people under 18 who are big boxing fans but there are a lot who are UFC fans. This is where things are headed and after the last generation of die hard boxing fans, I just don't see boxing doing bigger numbers than UFC unless a lot of things change. We need more boxing gyms so that young kids will take to boxing instead of mma or other sports. The problem with boxing is not talent right now, we all know that boxing is a higher skill level of striking by far. The problem is there are too many damn people involved with boxing. What I mean is promotional companies, managers, advisors, networks, sanctioning bodies, etc. It takes almost an act of God to get some fights made. Too many greedy hands. Even if you despise UFC or Dana White you can't deny they do one hell of a job promoting and getting their name out there. Plus if there's a fight that should be made, it's made, period. It's on TV all the time. Clothing lines, stickers, etc. They advertise brilliantly while boxing has a promotional tour for a big fight and some advertising but it's mostly over internet sites like BS while UFC is always promoting. They are doing so many things well while boxing is getting more corrupt. Boxing needs to change but there are too many hands in the cookie jar, unfortunately, to make that happen anytime soon. I hate it because IMO boxing is head and shoulders above mma. To me there is nothing better than watching two highly skilled boxers in the ring. It's a shame that the people involved with boxing refuse to do anything about it.
I dont know what the ppv numbers will be but i do know that ufc is starting to take over. there on tv everyday. the other day espn's new show sportsnation were talking about ufc like its the best thing since slice bread. boxing needs to do something fast like getting on tv more cuz ufc is going to take over. by the way i hate ufc and loue boxing but the truth is the truth.

Please don't gauge on who ESPN follows. The last time people did that, the dude got knocked out by a pink haired Light Heavyweight who jumped in hours before the event happened.

If Lesnar wasn't fighting it would just be another regular UFC. Face it most of the people buying this will be buying it to see Lesnar.

That's the co headline.

It'll do pretty good because of all the reatards bying into this crap. It says a lot about the credibility of the UFC when your biggest attraction and champion is an ex WWE wrestler with 3 fights under his belt one of those being a loss. Can't believe how easy people buy into the hype.
That's the co headline.
also the prospects....
juan manuel lopez vs. yurorkis gamboa
Amir khan vs. salita, and victor ortz
etc.
*sets a tank of oxygen and a mask in front of you*
