Valero's Top Rank contract claus?

Edwin Valero claims a future fight with popular fighter Manny Pacquiao is guaranteed as part of his deal to sign a promotional contract with Top Rank. “My fight with Manny Pacquiao is signed!- it was one of the conditions i gave my manager Jose Castillo for me to sign with Bob Arum(Top Rank)”. “This is something that has NOT been revealed to the Press because the fight is not mandatory in case Pacquiao walks away”. “But thats the only way to avoid the fight is if he leaves boxing, so i am relaxed working to build my name for my opportunity”. “For now I imagine they want the winner of Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Juan Manuel Marquez, but none of those fighters have the power to surpass his defence, I would be able to offer a much better fight than the one Hatton did, and I would have no problem moving up in weight to fight him!”………. Valero's contract basically has a guaranteed Pacquiao fight, as long as Pacquiao doesn't retire. If Cotto runs with the GBP deal and fights Mosley again. We could possibly end up seeing Valero-Pacquiao in november!

would be a great fight if it was against bobby pacquiao.. Bobby would just get KTFO and add to Valero's chase of the KO % and most KOs record.

surprised if it goes to the fourth.. i think pacquiao would actually kill valero :( forget 4th round id be shocked if it goes past the 1st round... I'd picture Valero rushing in with his chin like a pinata hanging in the air while PAC gets ready to swing at it without a blindfold...

I think this is bollocks. I reckon Valero's manager didn't see it through. Either that or he has a fight with Pacman's brother. :lol1: lol, well it was on Valero's website. His contract states a fight with Pacquiao will happen, as long as Pacquiao is an active boxer. If Pacquiao-Cotto falls out because of the bullshit that is being done now. Then why not put Valero in there with Pacquiao? You will get decent to great numbers for their fight. The Phillipino Slugger vs The Venezuelan Bomber.

Man, Pacquiao by 2nd or 3rd round K.O. What a waste, atleast someone who stands a chance. You dont think a guy who trains with Jorge Linares stands a chance against Pacquiao? Linares was knockin Pacquiao's wig back during their spar.

valero will never get that fight. lol What if Cotto takes a 50/50 rematch with Mosley to unify? That would leave Manny fight-less. Valero-Pacquiao could happen if Cotto takes Mosley for more cheese.

wow, i didnt know this It wasn't told to the press because it's not mandatory in case Pacquiao retires. So Pacquiao can retire and the fight never happens but if he continues fighting, before Valero's contract is up, he gets a shot at Pacquiao.
