one of the best left hooks of all time was tommy morrisons that floored ruddick, how the fu*k he even got up i dont know ,but he was going to get hurt bad. ref did a good job in stoping it tommy was fixing to land another left hook that could have killed ruddick.and morrison was a one punch fighter .and you think ruddick would have stood a chance aginst wlad .no way he made it past 4.:boxing:
Styles make fights and Ruddock was not the same after the Tyson fights, If you watch his fight against Smith he was very good imo. Post Tyson Wlad would def win but before it would be a close run thing imo.

Who wins out of these 2. I think this would be a good match up. Both can be hurt both carry good power and some skills.
ruddock would have been dangerous but wlad is probably too skilled. ruddock didnt have much of a jab and really relied almost exclusively on his left hook. wlad would be able to foucs on that and probably avoid any damage. ruddock's defense was also pretty lousy
that's actually not a bad matchup. it all depends which donovan we're talking about.
if you're talking about the donovan that was trained by floyd patterson then i'll go with wlad by ko. patterson totally ruined ruddock.
now if we're talking about the ruddock that fought in two memorable wars with tyson and also knocked out michael dokes then i'll take razor by early ko.
Amen brother! Couldn't have said it any better.Patterson tried to make him a boxer & ruined him.

I'm not sure if Patterson training him made any difference. I think he was simply ruined by the Tyson fights.
Ruddock was quite one-dimensional in my opinion. Early on he was more of a boxer but after developing the "Smash", he rarely threw anything but that one punch.
For years I have been looking for a clip of Ruddock's fight with Bonecrusher Smith.
Early on that fight Bonecrusher landed a right hand on Ruddock that nearly tore his head off. It made him cartwheel for crying out load!LOL
Crazy shit it was. How Ruddock got up from that to knock Smith out later is even more of a mystery.
Ruddock always seemed to go down heavily but he also got up fairly easily vs Tyson, Smith, Lewis and Morrison.
Wlad would have to unleash the right and not just jab.
Razor: The "Smash" was a great weapon and was very fast and deceptive.
I could see it going either way depending.
Anything after Tyson, Ruddock was declined...at leat according to Ruddock who said he felt Tyson finished him as a fighter as well as him thinking he took something out of Tyson as well.
One of my favorite KO's
Razor Ruddock VS Michael Dokes KOUploaded by SgtBarnes. - More professional, college and classic sports videos.
I voted "Draw" because either fighter can win depending...although I would probably favor Wlad if he comes out strong with the right right away and doesn't get caught. So it won't end in a "Draw" but my decision is a for picking is up in the air and pending.

i got that fight a couple of years back that was a great action fight, def worth getting i will up it for you tomorrow if you want it?
Razor Ruddock was a tough SOB. Too bad he had to deal with some monster HW's. I don't know really. This would be a close fight, but Ruddock was a lot better then the guys that beat Wlad. Rudduck by KO.

Those were two big guys who could really hit.

Ruddock wins. We are talking about a guy who faught Mike Tyson with a broken jaw and still busted Tyson's ear drum in the process.
Wlad would get owned by the Smash. :boxing:

Obviously Ruddock has a punchers chance, but I see Wladimir being too sharp and beating him to the punch all night. It could look like the Lennox Lewis fight for Razor.
