^^^
gatti was a beast at 140... but makin weight was gettin to him... then mayweather shook him....
rip... champ
If Cotto wins it isn't by KO/TKO or stoppage, I'll tell you that much. Gatti had way too much heart to be KO'd specially in his prime. In his prime he could take even more punishment then later in his career.
Cotto fights well until the 6th or 7th round. Then he gasses and doesn't do much besides avoid. If Cotto wins it would have to be by decision, no way in hell is a person who gasses after 7 rounds, going to beat a Prime Gatti by KO.
I'm sorry man but I gotta disagree. I have to bring up the Judah fight, Cotto got an 11th round KO and he wasn't exactly having an easy time in that fight. I still say that was the fight he learned had to do more than just come forward the whole fight. He was badly hurt in that fight, at least 2 or 3 times and nearly lost. I can't imagine if that Cotto was up against Mosley, Cotto would have been KO'd. He just reverts to boxing if he doesn't feel he can hurt a guy coming forward and tries to counter punch and use his power that way. I mean, I see why people may think he's gassed, and that may have something to do with it in the sense that he doesn't want to tire himself out on wasted punches. Either way I still got Cotto with a late round a KO shot to the body or TKO from a cut or swelling because lets face it, Arturo "Clay Face" Gatti after any fight, looks exactly like that guy from goonies, classic pic man. LOL.
Funny how PBF fans are picking Gatti over Cotto.
Gatti is a f*ckin warrior...much respect to him.
But Cotto would smash him because he's a frickin punching bag.
When they were both at 140 pounds..Gatti wouldve stopped Cotto.
Cotto was a zombie at 140.
An undefeated zombie who beat several fighters who were considerably better than Gatti.
good post
anyway do you know duk koo kim??
no i personally do not know Duk Koo kim, but i found out about his death after mancini, but i have also seen a lot of his tapes that have never been televised.
I've also read a biography (quite rare) and i also watched a movie on him.
I just think Duk Koo Kims death greatly impacted and protected young fighters to cut fights to 12 rounds, i mean look at most of the fighters now who foguht 15 rounds before? Still quite tragic.
How many times has the doctor stopped Gatti's fights? And Gatti's corner would never stop a fight. Hell, go watch him fight Ward, they never threw in the towel even though 99.9% of coaches would have thrown in the towel after watching their fighter become a bobble head.
Cotto could win but it wont be by KO if we are talking a prime Gatti. If we are talking about the Gatti that faced Mayweather, then it's a different story.
I see Cotto gassing and then avoiding like he always does when he faces guys who wont go down.
The doctor had to stop the Manfredy fight. Gatti's own corner stopped the Mayweather fight.
And once again, if Gatti's prime was below 140, he'd have no business (or chance) in the ring with Miguel Cotto.
Ye she was.
He was quite a lot better tha nPinto who really didn't do anything.
Gatti is a 2 division champ and challenger in a 3rd one.
Kelson Pinto never really fought no one till Cotto and then Phillips stopped him too. He's a LOT worser fighter tha nGatti.
Gatti was hardly better than Pinto. He beat up on old blown up lightweights. I loved Gatti too, but come on, he was never a great fighter. Hardly a good one.
Gatti went through hell for a living against Robinson, Manfredy, and Rodriguez. Cotto would Gatti Gatti. KO in 8 or less.
That has no relevance as Cotto went threw hell with Torres,Corley and Malignaggi but I agree Cotto is the better fighter.
A prime Gatti would beat Cotto. Because a prime Gatti went through hell for a living, going through 7 rounds of hell and then winning is Gatti's forte'. Cotto only fights 7 rounds and then gasses/runs.
Out of prime Gatti loses to Cotto no matter what.

I watched this fight..he is a really brave but I don't recommand this move(Seriously It will bring Serious injury to your player)

its no use argueing with cotto fans. they still think he's invincable

good post. if cotto doesnt stop gatti within 6-7 rounds. its gonna be a tough for him. gatti's heart bigger than cotto's
You really can't see Cotto busting Gatti up both in the body and the face? Gatti may be on his feet, but the doctor or the corner stops this long before the final bell.
