well,he lost to calzaghe.....he actually made his career...lol....bhop is so overrated.....jones would beat his ass 10/10 in their primes.
I agree with that, but BHOP ain't overrated. Dude is a great great fighter, throwback, as smart they come, technically sound, knows all the tricks in the book. Above all, very very strong mentally.
Calzaghe looked beatable when he fought B-HOP. Then he fought RJJ 'cause he has no soul to take risks anymore.
This guy is dangerous. When he can't beat you, He shows how to do it for worldwide. He just doesn't have "gas" to be VERY active all fight.
I agree, it really looks like he took Pavliks career too..
I remember Pavlikw as supposed to KO Hopkins. Some were worred for him.
He was supposed to do what Trinidad and Tarver were both supposed to do.
But, it really does look like he may have joined Trinidad and Tarver
The only thing he destroys is my desire to watch boxing. He literally rips my boxing soul out of my cold, lifeless cadaver.
He's so boring he makes Wladdy look like Arturo Gatti.
:alucard:
Two days ago you were saying you were having trouble deciding who you would support between Froch and Taylor, now you're saying he makes Wlad look good? Dap, you disappoint me homie.
Exactly, Hagler fought Hearns and Duran. That's the equivelant of Hopkins fighting Trinidad and Delahoya. When B-Hop wasn't beating up on great welterweights moving up, he was defending his belt against real middleweights who weren't great but still were legit fighters.
20x title defences, moved up and beat the Ring Magazine Light-heavy champion in Tarver. Defended his title against Top 3 P4P in Winky and just defeated undefeated Middleweight champ in Pavlik.
You can't deny this and shit all over it. I just ignored the douchebeg, his over the top nonsense is boring and not worth responding too. yea and he also fought ray leonard..this guy just doesnt like hopkins its that simple.
Lmao @ the hopkins haters
they come with nothing but rhetoric
popkins is the truth and took the hard road...started late....isnt as naturally physically gifted as many fighters.. yet look at what hes done
noone has done more...with less ...than bhop
dude you are a waste of time to argue with you just dislike hopkins plain and simple. and you never really answered my question about the welterweight thing..you claim he fought smaller opponents. yet hagler did too. alot of the old fighters from the past get overrated because they are like icons so they become slightly overrated..and why do you have barely any posts but youve been a member here for a long time?...you only come out to bash fighters is my geuss

please man if hagler had as weak a division as hopkins had, he'd be still defending the title...lol
how many times did hopkins defend that weak middle title against robert allen? like 15 times? lol dude you are a waste of time to argue with you just dislike hopkins plain and simple. and you never really answered my question about the welterweight thing..you claim he fought smaller opponents. yet hagler did too. alot of the old fighters from the past get overrated because they are like icons so they become slightly overrated..and why do you have barely any posts but youve been a member here for a long time?...you only come out to bash fighters is my geuss
not everyone is impressed with hopkins stellar career (lol) as his supporters...and they have good reasons to back it up apparently...much to the dismay of said supporters...
It doesn't matter if you're impressed with him or not. you're just some couch potato with a grudge.
Fact is, boxing historians will recognize him as one of the all-time great and top 5 best middleweights ever.
1 fighter he fought and beat legit tarver...lol...out of a career being a natural lightheavy he beat 1 legit 175 lb. fighter....and a one-hit wonder at that..and all this crap about pavlik save it...its not like pavlik is a legit 175 lb. fighter right now.. so please man talk to me when this guy fights the top lightheavys and cruisers...starting with dawson ....enough with the excuses..
Worst post of the thread
Dude you're all over the place, he didn't do this, he didn't do that. Tarver was a nobody.
Calm yourself down fagot, it's not legit criticism and you suck at debating. Just move on.
b-hop lost 2x to taylor
lost to calzaghe
2 fighters who are the same size
hes fought blown up oscar, winky, tito, pavlik.....b-hop cherry picks all his opponents.
throws 1 punch a round then bitches and moans when the decision doesn't go his way.
tell it like it is
Where do you mutants come from?

to be honest you are nooone to be saying a 44 year old guy is overrated after everything hes done at his age. and secondly hopkins legacy is 80 percent at middleweight anyway..did hagler defend his title 20 times straight in a row??..didnt think so..hopkins isnt ging to go down as one of the great light heavies of all time..but one of the great middle weights of all time that went on to win a title in another weight division. stop trying to find reasons to discredit him.

1 fighter he fought and beat legit tarver...lol...out of a career being a natural lightheavy he beat 1 legit 175 lb. fighter....and a one-hit wonder at that..sorry hopkins fans your boy is overrated... to be honest you are nooone to be saying a 44 year old guy is overrated after everything hes done at his age. and secondly hopkins legacy is 80 percent at middleweight anyway..did hagler defend his title 20 times straight in a row??..didnt think so..hopkins isnt ging to go down as one of the great light heavies of all time..but one of the great middle weights of all time that went on to win a title in another weight division. stop trying to find reasons to discredit him.
yet he went 15 pounds north to light heavy and dominatted tarver..dude your just a hater just stop posting..its one thing to be a 43 year old man and knock people out (foreman) and another to outclass them in every way..hopkins was a huge underdog against pavlik and technically were about the same size if not pavlik being the overall bigger guy and people saying pavlik never fought above 160 are retarded he fought above 160 several times and he fought at 170 a couple of times..and yet you say hagler is soo much better but thomas hearns and sugar ray leonard fought hagler and they were ****ing welterweight to..if anyone is overrated its hagler his record isnt heavily padded but it is padded to an extent..when was the last time you saw hopkins have a tune-up fight?

which proves my point that hopkins is overrated...always looks great against fighters who have to move up in weight and are less skilled (pavlik)...always loses against guys his size who have equal talent (taylor 2X) yet he went 15 pounds north to light heavy and dominatted tarver..dude your just a hater just stop posting..its one thing to be a 43 year old man and knock people out (foreman) and another to outclass them in every way..hopkins was a huge underdog against pavlik and technically were about the same size if not pavlik being the overall bigger guy and people saying pavlik never fought above 160 are retarded he fought above 160 several times and he fought at 170 a couple of times..and yet you say hagler is soo much better but thomas hearns and sugar ray leonard fought hagler and they were ****ing welterweight to..if anyone is overrated its hagler his record isnt heavily padded but it is padded to an extent..when was the last time you saw hopkins have a tune-up fight?
Different fight completely, totally different styles. You cannot get away with that against Taylor, especially that version of taylor.
