Listen everyone has a right to hate the Punisher, they really do,if u got a fave fighter fighting between 147-160,u have a right to be mad!!I mean,I know,u know,ur favorite fighter knows, fans and haters alike all know that the Punisher can probably beat ur fave guy,so I don't blame u for hating the tall skinny man!!But imagine if everyone had the Punishers attitude, boxing would be more popular!!
If someone can make the weight then they can fight in any weight class. It's totally fair. Williams saw his opportunities at 147 and took them. Luckily with his frame he can fight anywhere between 147 and 160 and be very competitive.
I didnt know being a 6 foot 2 skeleton all the sudden made you a legit smw...
hell he should just fight at heavyweight... hes tall enough right?
I mean.... as long as hes tall thats all that matters, right?
Especially for someone like Paul Williams... who uses his height when he fights.... right?
:ugh:
williams knows that winky is old and way past his prime
williams knows that winky was coming off a loss
williams knows that winky was coming off a 2 year layoff
is any of those his fault? not at all, but it's his damn fault that he keeps marketing himself as the most feared opponent while there are lots of options out there for him
you can't expect mosley, cotto, floyd, etc to take the bait if you're still a nobody in terms of drawing power
look at it this way. you have a hundreds of thousands of fans. you've been in tons of mega fights. you've defended titles a dozen times. suddenly, two people challenge you. one guy has a padded record and is a bum of your size, and the other one is a guy that beat a top champ and has half a foot of height and reach over you, but lost his only title defense. neither of them as any drawing power, so both fights would leave you the same amount of money
who would you fight between them?
i'll leave you with that, i'm drooling on my keyboard lol. good night and think about it. there's really no sense in fighting pwill when he sells even less than gomez or baldomir. if pwill REALLY wants to be in mega fights, he better work on his resume and work his way up. beating margo just to lose his next fight isn't the way, but he's young and can work on that again
Paul Williams is not the one making it a money issue when it comes to making fights. Remember the so call 4mil to fight Rito but Rito chose lesser money to fight Cotto. PW said, he trying to build his resume. Not saying he will pass up the money. Yes, Winky is past his prime. Well, he shouldn't get in the ring and Winky new what type of fighter Paul was. PW was seeking a fight for Kelly and B-hop. It's not like he's not looking for fights. With Paul, it's not a money issue but want to give the fans what they want. (So he say) I never herd him complaining about money but don't think he's going to let someone short change him either. All these guys want to get paid and has to start some where. When you said, (quit pricing himself out) Price has not been a issue for him that I recall.
Yeh, we can say, "High risk low reward". (A L too) My thing is, why all of a sutten, these guys jumped on the money wagon? I thought they wanted to give the fans what they wanted. Yeh, sounds good on TV. I think it's the heat he brings to the fight is the problem. He's trying to get a fight now.
i do agree with what your saying so im gonna say no not yet. im not trying to say hes some sort of god or anything here i just think ppl who say hes not a good fighter and over rated must live on the moon
He is a good fighter, but just a tad overrated. Saying nobody wants to fight him while taking on the likes of the examples already provided and passing on a fight with Clottey is ridiculous though. I'm positive he can beat mostly anyone from 147 to 154, but anything higher and his chin is possibly a bit suspect with the harder hitters.
If he and his camp really wanted to make the big fights, they can get done. He can easily travel over to Europe and start tangling with the best at 160 and above. But in typical american fashion, they're all yap and expect everyone to come to them.

Call me a martian then.....
so winky after a loss and a 2 year layoff is a bigger challenge than clottey?
We can agree with the 2 year layoff but who fault is that? Not PW and new that was coming. Winky did what he always do nothing different. Same with clottey but not a 2 year, maybe 10. They before they step in the ring coming off a long layoff. Should have taking a toon up.
fair point, but i think thats to do with the fact he finds it hard to get fights, i just think its funny when ppl say williams is nothing and over rated yet all these so called top boys of some divisions dont want anything to do with him and give lame excuses like he dont bring no money with him, more like hes to high risk and if they lose thats a big dent in there ability to bring in money.
Now im not saying hes the biggest baddest mutha ever but seems to me a lot of ppl are running scared, maybe they know there gonna get punished lol.
Other then Mosley, who was quoted not wanting Pwill, I am having a hard time believing he finds it hard to get fights Danny. I do believe a lot of fighters at 147 are going to avoid his physical advantages. He should stick to 154, clean it up, which I do believe he is very capable of and look up to 160. Sorry man , I ain't buying the hype of him at 168. He gets hurt at SMW.
Did you now read about post before? If I was born in china and learned Chinese would that make me Chinese? :lol1:
If citizenship is SOO important why were those Japanese citizen put in camps during WW2

2. of or pertaining to North or South America; of the Western Hemisphere: the American continents.
3. of or pertaining to the aboriginal Indians of North and South America, usually excluding the Eskimos, regarded as being of Asian ancestry and marked generally by reddish to brownish skin, black hair, dark eyes, and prominent cheekbones.
:yeah:
American is someone who doesn't claim other country. They claim to be American always. Not sometimes
I'm claiming right now, that I have a bajillion dollars, therefore, I'm claiming, I own the galaxy.
I claim you have never felt the warmth and wet flavor of a female and that you like to be stuffed with dark cock.
So um, yea, what exactly is an american again?
Heres a bit of help.

Looks like you have some holes in your "claims".
heres the thing...once you lose, you've been exposed. Thats the way ppl think these days. doesnt matter if you avenge the loss, then go on to beat other top fighters..you've been exposed. Hell ppl still talk about Pacman getting knocked out when he was 17.
2 year layoff winky?
verno Phillips
Andy kolle
Come on dude, NOT top fighters. Not even close.
i think he doesn't realize that america is made of 3 continents
He realizes it, hes just weird in that he gets a kick out of being lame.
I usually don't respond to his nonsense, but I'm bored tonight and I need something to put me to sleep.
I'm getting more tired by the post.
Mosley has beaten Mexican fighters, he does well against their styles. But cannot beat Top Americans fighters. Winky/Forrest now ducking Williams
What exactly is an american fighter?
It can't be any of the Black peoples from here because they originate from Africa.
It can't be any of the whites from here because they originate from Europe.
So do tell, what exactly is an american fighter?
so basicly what your saying him losing the ONE fight to a lesser fighter instantly makes him rubbish, so what about greats like Ali, Foreman, Duran, Hearns, Lewis, Tyson, Pacquaio blah blah blah? are they also mythical fighters. And does that mean people like Gayweather and Calzaghe are legends because they haven't lost to lesser opponents because they spend to much time beating down old shot men
You obviously haven't been here long.
We're using Floyd logic on this one for shits and giggles to flip the script on these lames.
What exactly is a birth certificate even mean?? If I was born in China that does make me Chinese :lol1:
There are Africans who run and win gold medals for Arab countries, does that make the Arabs?? :lol1:
Claiming you will avenge loss of Mexican legends doesn’t sound like an American to me. Or waving Mexican flag as well
Again what dopes Floyd got to do with this situation
Claiming things doesn't exactly equate to actually being or doing.
Which is why Floyd was brought up.
Claiming doesn't mean shit without actual proof.
So yea, Shane Mosley has beaten american fighters.
theyre ducking him.
Lol, this is so funny. Cotto gets a smashing by Rito and gets a pass. Ha ha ha. Pw defense his lost with Quinn face down in ghe mat, go up in weight and fight Winky. One thing you never here out of cotto or topranks mouth, is PW. They don't even throw PW name Cotto way. Allot of excuses out there, why PW can't get a fight at WW.
Cotto nothing
mosley--don't want to fight him period
Berto---still developing and not ready to get in the ring with Paul.
Clottey---only one want some.
Cintron---my boy but b****ing out.
Rito--don't want it another smashing wants to move on.
Collazo--not a word.
Mayweather---not a word.
Let's be real, PW has the WW pretty much walking on egg shells.
