Investigation will be done. Even if Paul Thomas is found to be innocent, he should still be banned from boxing as his record clearly shows that he is incapable.
A lot of the fights ended in KO or TKO. A lot of the fights were WAY TOO ONE SIDED TO CHEAT! So look at the MD, D, SD fights!!! PAUL THOMAS IS A BONAFIED CHEAT!!!
Yes it happens a lot in America as well but it is not so obvious like Paul Thomas. His record speaks for itself. If the inconsistencies balanced out on both sides then you may have a point. But his crazy scoring is all favoring boxer of a particular
Good point.
Bribery and corruption is just as likely to take place in the U.S. Especially in huge money, betting centre's, like Las Vegas. We shouldn't point the finger at any single particular nation. It's a global sport, and a global problem.
The problem is that the main purpose organization made these sports like the olymipics, NFL, WC...etc it to bring nations together but it looks like they are tearing it apart.
There was a case of a boxing ref who owned some gambling base and he have to us his influnce to help underdog fighter so the betting company get there money from him in an indirect way.
People tend to forget Mosely steriod scandal I bet he knew what he was taking because there is no supplement you inject it to your stomach.
As for Margarito wrapping.
and that is just the beging of it.
The sport that I could think of that is least corrupted is the one with not so much spotlight and attention like decathlone Bryan Clay is one of my idol sportman to be frank.
so in America it doesnt happen does it?
I think most of pro sport has alot of corruption from steriod us to bribing ref....etc
It not only boxing.
as well as I wont be suprise if any fighter is caught using steriods including the top dogs like Mayweather, Pac, Cotto....etc
There is alot of money to be made. A loss is very damaging to the fighters career so there is alot of pressure to do that.
I'd say it's less likely, considering the increased risk and penalties there are over here. It has gotten better in recent years, but Germany has definitely been sort of an epicenter for robberies.
Steroids isn't as prevalent in boxing as it's been in other sports. The fighters that have tested positive for steroids don't have a good track record while on it. Their performances while on it haven't been something where it encourages other boxers to take the risk.
His scorecard on M'Baye vs. Kotelnik was definitely dodgy.
http://www.boxrec.com/media/index.php?title=Fight:1170576
He was the one who had M'Baye, a Frank Warren fighter, winning. That fight was scored a draw, even though Kotelnik schooled M'Baye. :( That was one of the worst robberies you'll ever see.
Calzaghe clearly won that fight. Thomas is definitely crooked.
After looking at his judging, it is very inconsistent. He could just be a terrible judge of the sport.
I mean, in the M' Baye - Kotelnik fight, one is a Frank Warren fighter, and one is a Universum fighter. He has been favourable to both promoters fighters prior, and after this fight took place. And in the Calzaghe - Reid fight, he had Reid winning, yet Calzaghe is the Frank Warren fighter. Weird indeed.

If you see 80-90% of fight in Germany where the house fighter gets beat there's at least one judge that has it all wrong. Bribes are probably still rampant in the sport.

If found guilty of the crime, then yes, he should be banned from participating in any boxing event, in any official role.
However, we also need to find the source of the problem. It's either betting rigs, or promoters.
