Wow, I saw this interview for the first time and Max Kellerman is a prick. Now I understand why everyone hate him and dislike him so much.Anybdody ever saw a worse interview than this one(judging by the question and thoughts of the interviewer)??
see, man, kellerman hasnt ever really sparred, or trained. so he doesnt know this.
i question his intentions actually. and i feel he thinks he knows more than he does. i think the same thought about bert sugar.
there is only so much u can see/know from the sidelines. u have to have experience to be able to difinitively speak about much of combat sports. i dont mean that u have to be a high ranked am or pro figher. but just the training and sparring gives u enough experience to say certain things and know what is happening with a situation.
example, unless u have been punched in the liver, you cant really ever describe how that feels.
What I mean by him having good intent is to dig deep into the interview and speak his thoughts without kissing up to the fighters, as kissing up is wrong also. Digging deep is a good thing, but he takes it too far sometimes to the point of embarrassment. He needs the ability to dig deep, without degrading a fighter in there. I do agree he thinks he knows too much. There are too many intangibles that he cannot seem to grasp.
kllerman is just f#cking horrible. his interview here want not good, but not so bad. however, i have seen him much much much worse.
kellerman know...? what does he know? what he has read? i generally feel that u have ti have some experience to actually know what u are talking about.
like, how can a commentator comment on how it is to play baseball if he never played? he will never quite know those perspectives or be able to speak from experience. even if max had a year of boxing training it would help him to be more credible. but until he has actually trained he is no more than anyone else who knows boxing history.
any people who actually like max, ask yourself if it is simply that lennox is so bad that it makes max sound like a good commentator. and, max also has very deep prejudice against some fighters.
and, remember, max is the guy who said roy jones jr could go up and beat both klitschko brothers. that is how stupid he is.
whine some more please.
I want to like Kellerman. I know his intent is good, but he lacks a quality that is needed. it is called Tact. He has to realize the guys he is interviewing have just been through hell. They deserve respect whether he liked their performance or not.

bboy took the wordy right outta my mouth. max knows his boxing and keeps it real. he did kinda went on attack mode a lil bit when all he should have done was give props to katsidis but at least he's upfront about his opinions. and i'm glad he calls out bullshit judging. juan won by a landslide.

Thats the truth it was lopsided for Juan and thats why Kellerman is the man
"Maybe i should go back and re-watch the fight and re-score it. With that said. That has to be one of the worst judgingI have ever seen " lmao
kellerman was spot on in this and on many other occassions ... katsidis fought a terrible fight the crowd was upset cause they expected a war. kellerman 'keeps it real' (eg. post fight interviews for diaz jmm, rjj zags) sometimes he goes alittle too far but he's usually right. but his nuthugging and drama gets way too much too often, but in the last couple fights that seems to be in check and i thought he did a great job for the ortiz miadana fight ...
