Kessler would destroy Mundine. He beat him, Mundine didn't put himself in a position like that against Kessler.

Mundine had never taken a solid punch on the chin previously. It was only his 10th fight ever, professional or amateur. Some of his opponents said that Ottke had decent punching power but never committed to it. He always fought very defensively.

A) Ottke has the power of an enraged pillow. B) Wasn't a flush shot to the temple I still can't see how he went down that dramatically. Tyson's shot at Berbick didn't appear that hard either. Anyone hit on the right spot is gonna go. BTW he was carried out on a strecther. It was actually quite worrying.

Well this was very early in his career so inexperience may have been the case.

I don't need to look at the vid... I remember this fight like it was yesterday.. Until the KO, Mundine was actually winning the fight.. Probably not on the judges cards, because lets face it.. Ottke wasn't allowed to lose in Germany.. That's why he had ALL of his fights there.. When Mundine went down.. Look at the shock on Ottke's face.. He can't believe what he's done! It was not a flush hit & Ottke couldn't bust a grape even if it was.. The ONLY genuine thing is that the punch scuffed his temple.. I know from experience what it's like, to be hit there.. I took a flush one from a HW while sparring, & the guy had the decency to hold me up while I regained consciousness.. Even so, I was only out for a few secs, but probably would not have made the count, had I been competing.. In contrast, Mundine was out cold for ages.. If it wasn't Ottke in Germany, I wouldn't be too suspicious, same as I wouldn't if Mudine had been losing... BUT, it WAS & he WASN'T.. I smell FIX.....

It's actually pretty funny if you think about it. That really makes his whole mediocre record look so much worse.
