Ortiz fought like a moron, but I was rooting for his opponent anyways

If you ever watched the wars between Pacquaio-JMM, Barrera, as well as Arturo Gatti's Fights..compare them to the heart of Ortiz....you can learn techniques but a heart must be there from the first day, your trainer can't teach you that. If yourn't motivated, then quit boxing I've seen all of those fights, while they happened. I know what heart is. I didn't say that Ortiz has the biggest heart I've ever seen. What I am trying to stress is.. When a guy goes throw all that Ortiz has at that age, I can understand a guy not thinking a fight to please fans that will never fully be pleased anyway, is worth it.

He wouldn't have died because the ref would have stopped it before it went that far. This fight was nothing compared to what both Cotto/Margarito took in their fight. Those guys went all out! And Cotto hasn't looked the same since that fight, FULLY and Margarito lost his next fight. Yeah.... he should have fought to that point.

hes young, he fought the wrong fight, us fans got the benefit ... he'll be back and i hope he will learn from this experience ... he fought just plain stoopid

If you've ever seen Ortiz fight, you'd know he doesn't use his jab much if at all. He only uses as a decoy scarcely or sometime when he throws his left. A jab would have helped him out a ton. I still wanna see his next fight.

he fought with no poise and everytime he got hit he wanted to trade with the guy who was a bigger puncher.. he coulda boxed his way to a victory .. he went out like a bitch though
