Agree and marquez is a very good fighter. I love pacman's speed. My 24 yr old son does not get it and i tell him, pacman throws so many punches that he gets you when you throw one back. That's why you have to try to go to the body when you can and soften him up so instead of throwing so many, it goes down every round. Hopefully he'll be busy trying to protect his body from shots and miguel will then know his shots are working.
dont worry, pac has been working on taking some body shots since pac-barrera 2 :cool2:
You are partly right, I haven't seen an opponent take ADVANTAGE of having pacman by the ropes, seen them take advantage on the inside. Hopefully cotto will take advantage when he does have him by a corner or on the ropes. If not then he'll need to work him in the inside and not be like marquez who rocked him but did not follow up or morales in 1st fight who had him bloodied but stop going forward. These mistakes are what causes these fighters to lose the fights. Seems that fighters admire when they connect with pacman but do not go in for the kill, which you know cotto is go at.
Should be a great fight.
the last time i saw pac got tagged on the ropes was against larios and many times hes been on the ropes is because he let his opponent hit him not because he got caught or cornered. one thing im sure of this fight, cotto wont trap pac on the ropes and he wont let cotto hit him while on the ropes. freddie is a very smart guy and he always instruct pac to stay away from the ropes :cool2:
like i said, him struggling against clottey is not a surprise. clottey is a tough SOB :lol1:

i didnt say that. being on the ropes is different from being trapped on the ropes. when was the last time you saw pac lean on the ropes and let his opponent bang him? cotto was able to trap clottey on the ropes, when was the last time you saw pac in a situation like clotteys?

So pacman has not being anywhere near the ropes?

All i can say, it's going to be a very good fight that might end up being a trilogy.
indeed a good fight between 2 of my most favorite fighters. so, when was the last time pac got caught on the ropes?
You are right, jennings was just a tuneup but you don't think ANY boxer would've struggled for 10 rds with a headbutt cut that bad?

I'm sorry, lesser fighters have caught pacman on the ropes, only difference is that they were not animals to the body like cotto is. Look at all the pacman fights and you'll see that he gets caught on the ropes but there is a difference between morales, barerra and marquez catching him there and cotto catching him there.....lol....you'll witness it on 11/14. I'm not knocking pacman on his skills but he has taken punishment, as you can see from my avatar by fighters with wayyyyyyyyyyy less power and skills than cotto.
when was the last time he was caught on the ropes?
i wont say that his defeat from margo was the best that happened to him or gave him any improvements cause after that, he faced a nobody named jennings then struggled against clottey(which is not surprising) i think thats the reason why most fans called cotto a shot fighter but to honestly tell you, i think cotto's just the same before and after the margarito fight :cool2:

cotto is good in throwing body shots if he have his opponent trapped in the ropes. and he will never catch pac on the ropes. pac's footwork is just too good :cool2:

TOTALLY agree, it's not going to be because of his power. Cotto has faced WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY more powerful fighters. Even in the beat down he got from margarito, it took margarito 11 rds to make cotto give up. I think that defeat was the best thing that could've happened to cotto. It made him patient and he worked on his jab and "boxer" skills, which is evident in fights after that defeat.

if pac will ever stop cotto, i think its because of the accumulated punches :cool2: TOTALLY agree, it's not going to be because of his power. Cotto has faced WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY more powerful fighters. If the liver/body shots do not bother pacman, then miguel is in for a long night. But when have you not seen a cotto opponent NOT bothered by cotto's body shots. Even lately, when crazy fans have said that cotto is "shot".....lol... his body shots has affected fighters. It drained clottey the last 3-4 rds and clottey is an animal at taking shots.

I see that pacman is fast and throws alot of punches but also notice that the opponents have crappy defense. I think i myself would've knocked hatton down with the opening he had. With Cotto I notice he gets hit alot but when big fighters like margarito or clottey cannot put him down with good shots, i just find it hard for pacman to put him down, Correction, pacman might put him down with a fast flash knockdown like cotto got clottey, but a ko? I don't see it. I keep asking myself..Can pacman beat margarito or clottey? He cannot, so how is he going to beat cotto.
