Sure, I am game for it.
I just know how hard it is to lose 5 extra pounds when you are already in great shape.
It should be an entertaining run at 168 with some great fights on the horizon.
And cancelling fights because of missing weight, etc, won't be an option now.
It will be an exciting run at Super Middleweight unless he fights Kessler.
At the stoppage I think most had it 2-1 Miranda. Abraham is a slow starter anyway so I'm not looking too far into that.
Yea, and we still have see Arthur in some actual bouts at the 168 pound limit before people assume Abraham will throw more than his average of 10 punches a round.
We both seem to agree on this issue.
I was referring to a match up with a healthy Abraham at 160 for the scenario in my previous post. But at 168 we have not seen Abraham's increased work rate or power. We did however watch Arthur fight nearly at the 168 limit verse Miranda(166) and his work rate for the first couple of rounds was nearly the same. Edison was even able to outwork him in several rounds until of course he was caught and Knocked Out. Maybe, he has an increase in power but I am still skeptical about his punch output increase.

Several rounds? It only lasted not even four.
Four rounds, is all we have to work with near the Super Middleweight limit. For a much better view all of us need to watch Arthur fight someone at 168 who is decent.
The jab only decreased 2% in the rematch, I'm not sure if that's to do with the weight though. I agree he had a little less pop but it didn't effect him that much. The fact of the matter was Taylor fought a more cautious fight and didn't allow Pavlik to hit him clean as much. If the rematch was at 160 I think it would have still been the same fight.

I agree with some of this but at 168 he will be more active than he was tonight. He'll have to increase his workrate against Pavlik because he won't be easy to KO. I think he's going to stop him late though. Pavlik isn't hard to tag and loves to trade, AA won't have to look for him.

No, he didn't do better in the Taylor fight, the jab was less existent and his pop IMO was diminished. Taylor even tho more defensive minded still fought too little, but Pavlik couldn't press the action more as he was even slower of foot.

Abraham can only use that power in spurts and if the opponent continues to throw, like a Pavlik-it stops Arthur from getting off effectively. Abraham needs time to set up his shots and if you pressure him enough, similar to what Oral was doing he can't let his hands go and disperse that power.IMO

It's really the abilities of the lawyers and how tight the contract is and how the terms are construed by the court.
I would think Danish courts would be pretty fair in all of this.
Palle could've loaded the contract with conditions that can be thrown out if not written to the letter.
But a court case could even further delay Kessler's career.
Yeah. Both parties are playing hardball. Maybe a 5 million euro offer from Sauerland can bring them together again.
Nothing like the smell of green to bury the differences.
Long story.
Palle was set to stage the mandatory against Perdomo in september-october. Kessler declined saying that he didn't wasnt to wait that long.
Now the fight is likely to go to purseoffer which will further delay it.
Palle is pissed saying that Kess is obstructing his work.
I cannot see a happy ending to this mess at all. A court ruling is needed to clear the air.
Does Palle have influence in a Danish court?
That fight sounds great. So would Palle take him to court over the contract since AA is Sauerland and it may be something like tampering with another fighter or some such legalese.
Or is Palle-Kessler already in court?

Overall he did better in the Taylor rematch and Taylor fought a smarter fight that night to boot. And against Hopkins, well, he was in against a top 3 MW of all-time.
At 160 he has the size and power advantages over most fighters, he doesn't have the power advantage over Abraham at any weight. Abraham is just the better quality fighter IMO.

Abraham says he fights at 60% as a middleweight.
I can't say whether he will actually be better at a higher weight or not. I never really rated Miranda. The top 168 lbers Kessler, Bute, Froch, Taylor, Andrade and others would be the toughest opponents Abraham has ever fought and I'm looking forward to what he can do against them.
The german announcers mentioned Kessler again. Looks like AA will go for him since he is the name the germans recognize. Kessler has ko'ed both Beyer and Haussler live on german national TV.
Pavlik has looked worse and worse every time he has moved up so of course Abraham would. That would be like Kelly fighting a weight drained Arthur at 160.

Miranda was ko'ed in the 4th. and Miranda said he could feel the power difference with the extra weight. His words, not mine.
The power may be slightly increased, but the performances looked identical to those at 160. This is also Miranda we are talking about

Abraham will beat the shit out of Pavlik if it's at 168 rest assured.

The trick definitely is to keep throwing with AA and don't trade.
Absolutely. Good footwork and jab and keep the eyes open at all times. AA can definetely be outpointed. Pavlik should have taken the fight. I think he has the tools.
He has big power in both hands, but is depending on that power. He has to realize against other high caliber fighters, he will have to work also as the big punch will not always work for him against them.
AA will be much busier at the higher weight I'm sure. And he will be tested more at 168. The division is stacked.
He didn't show that superior work rate at 166, two pounds off of the Super Middleweight division VS Miranda. It was nearly a repeat of this fight with Oral. Hands high while being outworked and fighting in flash moments.
