And so on. That fight literally put me to sleep. Like, I just woke up. Thank God it didn't kill me. Yes this is my first post, and I was inspired to write one because that boring jabfest of a fight made me that angry. God save the heavyweight division...
Best first post i've ever read. Wlad is so boring.. apparently he's inspiring fans to register for boxing forums just so they can tell others how bored they were.. That's F%cked!
As far as I can remember (And that is a far time) Hopkins always fought the way he did. And to your dismay only at his elder age has he been stepping up the pace against challengers such as Pavlik. Overall you cannot justify that Wladimir is anywhere close to being as boring as Hopkins. With 47 knockouts in 53 wins the case is closed.
I consider his safety first approach really boring but he impressed me tonight with his aggression. He and Vitali are still giants among men and need to fight one another or Force valuev's hand to give the public a truly fair fight.
No wonder HBO refused this fight. BJ Flores, put down the pipe. That was far from an exciting fight. What do you guys think is more exciting?
I will say that BJ Flores does a hell of a job commentating though. When his boxing career is over the mic should most def be in his hands.

When Hopkins has his man trapped in a corner with his hands tied behind his back, he at least throws a hook or maybe even an uppercut in there, to you know...................spice things up a little, he even threw a bolo against Pavlik.
Chagaev was on the ropes and the man never even threw a single hook, uppercut in the whole fight.
Hopkins may be boring in a way, but the man is nearing his 50s and at least has a REASON to slow down the pace of his fights.

tunneys life
No disrespect to Tunney but.. Does everyone realize he'll probably be watching this fight a couple times? Can anyone imagine willingly putting this on the tv again?
Very ironic that the fight was on espn classic, far from a classic
If they really had a lot of fun watching that square dance then they shouldn't be permitted to watch a Pacquiao fight for fear their heads would explode.
This is coming from a man with Bernard Hopkins in his avatar......
