If Cotto beats Pacquaio...

I always feel like this: To be the man you have to beat the man...so if Cotto beats the #1 man after all that he has done at Welterweight...hell yeah he deserves the #1 spot. Who else has fought better compitition and beat the current #1 guy??? Why should he not deserve the top spot?

it should set up a BIG fight w/ mayweather, assuming he ever returns..... but cotto definitely won't be p4p #1 in my book. dude has lost 2 of his last 3 fights, beating pacman doesn't make him p4p the best in the world. When did he lost a second time???

I have a feeling Cotto is going to sell out and fight Pacquiao at a catchweight and end up getting embarrassed by getting whooped probably because he isn't used to the weight class and his body probably isn't used to lower weight anymore so it would be harder for his body to adapt well at lower weight. At 147, I think its a fair fight 50/50 that could go either way.
