It would really suck if Mayweather ends up fighting Pac if the Marquez fight doesn't go ahead.
Cotto , to his credit has fought all the elite WW's.
Mosley,Cotto, Margarito, and hasn't been beating about the bush, and hiding himself from the elite fighters.
Floyd is just trying to take the easy way out by taking the big money fights, at little or no risk to his record.
He should step up the plate, gain the acceptance of the boxing public by fighting the guys in HIS weight division before venturing out to fight the p4p fighters of the world .
there is no way arum would let floyd near pacquiao after cotto won against clottey. he wants to keep all the money in house. especially with floyds ridiculous demands about 60/40 not a chance in hell this would happen.
I agree with you. Arum wants to keep ALL the money for himself, but then has the nerve to tell Mayweather to drop his money demands...THAT OLD MAN IS CRAZY! I believe that Arum don't want May to fight Cotto or Pac. But he will stay in the media and say things to make it seem as though its REALLY May doesn't want to fight those guys since he came back. But I feel that he is more comfortable putting Pac in there with Cotto. Either way it goes, Pac stops Cotto and May does too. Cotto is too good of a boxer to hit so much. That is one pet peeve I have when it comes to Cotto, because I like him as a boxer. If Cotto continues to be WIDE open for all those shots, Pac and May will capitalize and make him pay. If he tightens his defense up for this fight with Pac (which I don't really care to see), he WILL hurt Pac....guess we will have to wait and see.
I'm not trashing on the guy, I know he has some good quality wins... He just hasn't looked his best lately. I don't think it is smart for him to go lookin' for a fight with Pacquiao right now. He might get tooled
Margarito was just a horrible style match up. I think the Clottey fight would have looked much different without the cut. It's still hard to say exactly where Cotto is because everyone knows that the cut had a large impact.
lost to Margarito... beat Jennings, Gomez.... and arguably lost to Clottey?
Similarities to the last few opponents of pacq! A wounded animal is pretty easy to target!
lost to Margarito... beat Jennings, Gomez.... and arguably lost to Clottey?
Your missin a few big namez bro, Cotto also beat Cq,Zab Judah,Shane Mosley and like it or not Joshua Clottey..you gotz to give Cotto his propz
I wouldn't say cotto has earned the right... he's just in the right promotional company.
Well he earned the right to be signed by Top Rank due to his excellent amateur career.

Since Cotto came to 147 he fought.
Carlos Quintana
Oktay Urkal
Zab Judah
Shane Mosley
Alfonso Gomez
Antonio Margarito
Michael Jennings
Joshua Clottey
Only suffering 1 loss and now there is a big shadow over that loss and a whole lot of questions.
Cotto deserves a Mega Fight and a big pay day.
care to look at his resume previous to his quesitonable loss to margarito?
or only your last four fights count?
Going by Cotto's last four fights, Pacquiao's the last person he should be getting in the ring with.
